Keep in mind that this is a very low key event. Feel free to come and go as you want, join in any or all activities, or just relax. If anyone has other ideas for activities that they would like to suggest, please feel free to do so. The point is to just have fun, enjoy the scenery and make a few new friends.
Hi all,
I was just roaming through the Out West thread and clicked on the link for our planned schedule. I went to the Chuckwagon Dinner and Show website and looked at their schedule. They don't have a show the night we are planning to attend, on Sunday. They do have shows on Friday and Saturday. Is it possible to change the schedule to allow us to attend? It looks like fun, and the cowboy music sample on the website sounded good. We'd like to go.
What do you think?

I'll give them a call tomorrow. They had told me in an email (months ago) that they could do it that night. If not, we can do the show on Saturday night and have our potluck on Sunday instead.

The days will likely be warm, the evenings could be quite cool. You'll need a warm jacket and perhaps some gloves. You can see the weather averages here: Moab Weather Info
Even when I've been there in the summer, there have been nights when a sweater is necessary. The air is quite dry and it feels cooler.

Maybe AbbyArts will chime in here since she lives just 100 miles or so east of Moab.......

Where in Moab the first week of Nov last year. If I recall correctly just wore t shirts and jean shirts during day and flannel shirts in the evenings. The weather was great. Hope its a repeat this year.

ennajean, that sounds lovely, and like what we wore in November when we lived in Idaho and upstate New York................now that we are desert dwellers, we'll probably FREEZE. We'll be the ones in heavy jackets and hats. We're sure looking forward to the trip!

I just spoke with the guy at Bar M (exceptionally nice guy!) and they said that they will open for us on Sunday if we can guarantee at least 40 people. So if you're interested in going to the Bar M dinner and show, please give them a call and make your reservation for Sunday October 5th as soon as possible. That way they can plan ahead and give the staff prior notice. I'm supposed to check back with him in about 2 weeks to make sure we have enough people to give it a go.
The phone number for the Bar M Chuckwagon is 1-800-214-2085. Tell them you're with the Class B Social group.
If we don't get enought for Sunday, then we can switch to Saturday night, but we will be mixed with other groups.
By the way, it's only a litte over 2 months until the event - it's coming up fast now!
Thanks!
