Keep the Bar-M reservations in mind and try to do it ASAP. They, (and Julie), need to know what everyone wants to do for sure on which day.

Hi everyone,
Can't figure out where the pot luck stands, do we each bring something to share plus some meat for ourselves, or is it just pot luck?
We are making our plans now for the trip, we have decided it will take an absolute emergency to keep us home. A friend of ours has just been diagnosed with cancer and it has made us realize we had better live today as we don't know what is around the corner.
We will be leaving Vancouver Island via Port Angeles and then taking 90 past Seattle to 82 then down 84. Does anyone have any suggestions about places we should visit and any good campgrounds?
Regards,
Len, Rebecca & MacDuff

I know for the Neb. potluck there was a lot of food. We had made some burgers but I didnt eat mine as there was so much good stuff to eat. We had everything from beef stew, soup, salads, beans, and desserts, that you didnt need anything else. Doesnt really answer your question but will give you a clue as what to expect. I am getting anxious for the trip as we have been grandkid sitting quite abit lately and havent taken our B any where lately.
Sorry to hear about your friend, but know where your coming from about doing things now as you never know what is store for you.

I had forgotten to make our reservations for the Chuck Wagon Dinner and just called. He still doesn't have 40 people and is at about 30. If there others are like me and have forgotten to call maybe you should.

Yes, pot luck still stands. Bring your own meat and a dish to share. Some of us are bringing grills and the RV park will have a big one that we can also use.
Not sure yet if the potluck (and pet costume contest) will be Saturday night or Sunday night. We are planning on Saturday night, but it may change depending on what happens with the Bar M. I'll let you all know once I speak to them later in the week.

I have tried several times to call the BarM, but it appears they are only open W-Sat. So, I hope to call them this coming Wed. to make our reservation.

Just a thought, with 30+ people bring food to the pot luck we will end up with a mountain of food. How's about if some bring beverages?
I volunteer to bring a bottle of wine and two large bottles of pop.
This would work out as long as 30+ did not bring wine....mind you we probably wouldn't miss the food.

Bring whatever you want! Wine would be good... perhaps a few people would prefer to bring beverages (alcoholic or otherwise). No one needs to bring a huge amount of anything, just enough to feed a few people, since there is always plenty to go around.
