Keystone is having a recall on cabinet doors with glass in them. My dealer asked me about ours this week, and informed me if the glass looked wrinkled to let them know so they could order us new doors.

Thats what I say. Plastic film on the inside. Thats why they call it safety glass.
By safety glass I meant the type that when it breaks it becomes small non sharp pieces. Not the type for car windows with interior film. I think that is obso;ete. I can't see that the windows on newer cars have it. We have mirrors on several of our cabinets and they have lasted 17 years without film.
1. Yes safety glass has the film sandwiched between two panes of glass.
2. I can't imagine why they would put safety glass on cabinet doors.
3. I would be willing to bet that this film is nothing more than a film they put on the glass during shipping. Now they might call THAT safety glass, but that film should be removed by the dealer prior to your PDI (especially if it is wrinkled).
I would get another opinion from a glass man. If it is true safety glass, have the dealer replace it.

I think I missed your question. There is no garentee that the new door's film will not wrinkle. It is possible that the auto film will also. You would need to remove the calk to install the auto film. Perhaps installing plywood that matches the door frame is the answer. Or you could request new doors that are all wood. Good luck
