What town are you in? Gilbert, AZ
What are you paying? $87.00 a month
What are you getting for that? (size, covered, dump, water, electric, 24hr access, personal code entry, security cam...) 40 foot storage area, access to site is not 24/7 but it is open(6am to 8pm)7 days a week, entry code, and security camera.
What else is at the site? (ministorage, semis, contractor equipment...) It is a combo RV and Mini Storage, with some landscapers.
How full is the lot? Stays full all the time.
Attendent onsite? (and do you care?) During normal business hours/ 24 hour camera security.
How long have you been at the same place? almost 5 years

Hope this helps

Happy RVing

Hi -we're in Chicago area too. Currently stored in a private pole barn out by Harvard. Only $50/month - but we have the last spot. Was at a gas company in Marseilles - no fence - open field, $30.00/mo. Before that we were by Rock Cut state park in Rockford. Fenced/locked - coded access 24/7 - $50.00 back in 2004.

I'm curious how folks deal with offsite storage and its costs.

Seems brutally hard to find storage in Chicagoland that doesn't look like a junkyard. Wondering if it is so bad everywhere.

We pay the state of Maryland about $3,000 a year in property taxes. We also paid about another $1000 to have the driveway extended and a 50-amp circuit put in.

Minneapolis, MN - Storage on the northern edge of the metro area.

$70 a month for an outdoor pull through site for a 43 foot motorhome. Access from 6 am to 10:30 pm. I don't think there is a dump station or other amenities.

Real nice place with mostly RVs and a few boats and enclosed trailers. No junk like one place I considered. They also have mini storage. Lot seems to be pretty full.

There is someone in office Monday through Saturday. There is a house that I assume owner or manager lives in. They say they have some sort of laser perimeter security.

I only used their services for about 6 months last year when I had a storage container in the RV parking space at home during remodeling.

Midland,TX
1100 yr for 2 slots, 14X40 each
covered, electric, dump, padlock, 24/7, onsite security

We have two slots for camper, truck and 79 pop-up. Midland has a law no campers can be parked in the front or side yard. Then again Code Enforcement does a poor job with notifying homeowners. I will not put ours in the backyard for the reason I do not want anyone knowing we are gone.
