I Have a 08 2500HD Silverado D/A LMM that I have 40000 miles without a single problem. It drives and towes like nothing I have ever owned. All the power you will ever need. MPG 16 city, 22 hwy,15 towing 8000# 5er at 65 mph. As with any given towing platform you may or may not have problems; I done a lot of research on diesels for 2 years, and at my age I could not aford but this one last truck; IMO the GM Duramax/Alison is a proven package that you cant beat at the present. Cummin is got to be one of the best engines on the planet (never heard of a cummin truck)These Duramax engines have been good since day one.Dont care to comment on the Powerjoke. Just my $02 worth. GOOD LUCK.

Have to agree love my LMM as well. How did you get 40,000 miles on a 2008?

I bought mine in Dec. 02. I have over 125,000 miles on it. New injectors on the dealer. Great truck and tows great. I have gotten 20 mpg towing on flat land.
My usual mpg is 16 or 17 mpg. My Hilo weighs in at approx 5500lbs, so there is not really a load on the truck. Mpg on trips with out the camper I have gotten 24+mpg in the summer time. I set the cruise one time going down the length on Illinois with the camper and never had a change of speed or shifting of the tranny till I got off for fuel. One problem though SHE really like 87 mph and will run up there any chance She gets even with the camper hitched up.

My father owned a 2003 and has been happy with it. I know he has replaced all the injectors (warranty, as others have said) and no other major problems. Works for him........he was so happy with his that I traded my Ford in for one as well. Couldn't be happier.

My truck is a 2003 chevy LLY...

On a side note, if your truck is indeed a 2003, it has to be an LB7, not an LLY...They were only 2004.5 and 2005s.
