Anyone towing a large load with a SuperNova? How heavy is your trialer? I am looking at the SuperNova or Endura International and will be towing a 10,000lb trailer. I am concerned about the ability for the unit to take on hills!! Does the VT365 with 300 horses enough? Any issues?
Thanks

Do a search for the SuperNova and Super Nova. It has been discussed many times with very differing opinions on the abilities of that obsolete pickup truck engine.

So a Duramax is not a pickup motor? I thought I saw a Chevy pickup the other day with a Duramax logo on the side???

I know, I was making a joke. I assume az99 was a Duramax fan.
I would just as soon have a VT365 over the Duramax.

The only reason I made the joke is you thrashing the VT365. I did do the research and came up with only one or two people towing, no one with that weight. If this is the way this board treats people looking to find out info, then I will find another place.
There are problems with any product out there. Sometimes you end up lucky and get something that is great, that others think is terrible. So don't be so negative!
Bye the way, here is a forum you can get help on your Duramax problems: http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef31b32

dcwinters, as new member you couldnot have followed az99's post for a while. Whenever possible he has to throw in the "obsolete pickup truck engine". Never mind that many posters pointed out its a different setup/engine management than the Ford Powerstroke 6.4 and while the Ford engine had lots of recalls or even long time when it was not delivered, the VT365 never had any of these problems.

I guess it would be different than the Ford Powerstroke 6.4 since it is a 6.0L engine. The 6.0L was used in the Ford pickups till I believe model year 2008. So it is now "obsolete". Ford may have changed the injectors or something but it is the same base engine as used in prior 2008 pickups.
Hey Wallik - so you're still kicking tires or haven't you updated your profile ?

I would just as soon have a VT365 over the Duramax. I am not a Duramax fan just because I have one. I would not even want the 6.6L Duramax in a truck as heavy as the SuperNova much less a 6.0L engine that makes power with RPM. That is a lot of total weight you are trying to move. Good Luck with whatever you decide.
