We have not had any issues with windshield or front of jeep since we put the 4" lift kit in ours, prior to that, lots of chips. Not a fan of covers or bra. Tried protect-a-tow, it worked, kinda, saved the front of jeep, but the rocks that hit the plastic protector, bounced and hit the back of motorhome. Which cost more to paint?

I'm pretty much with DiverGary, but my Wrangler hasn't needed a lift kit. I simply put 31" tires on positive offset wheels, and that (along with the stock rear wheel mudflaps and a rock guard from CW) seems to keep it free of rock chips.

I use Protect-a-Tow and nothing can bounce back and hit the coach as it stretches between the coach and the towed under the tow bar. Sounds like you had the plastic shield gizmo that mounts on the tow bar in front of the towed and does deflect stones back to the coach. Try Protect-a-Towit will protect the jeep, the coach and the tow bar.

I have been very happy with Protect-a-Tow, been using it for a few years now and wouldn't tow without it! We're looking at getting a new toad and the wrangler was an option, any pro's/cons on towing a wrangler?

In the for-what-it's worth category: Wranglers are SuperToads!! Plus they give you sightseeing options (offroading) that most cars can't; and on nice days, they become "convertibles"...LOL!!! Access to wiring; and running stuff from the cabin to the engine compartment is super-easy because there are rubber grommets in the firewall you simply pop out.
As others have pointed out, the higher clearance of the Wrangler seems to keep them from getting all stone-chipped as toads. Mine hasn't suffered any chips - we just have a "hula skirt" on the MH.
If you are looking for a used vehicle, the '06 and older Wranglers are the easiest to tow - the first click of the key unlocks the steering column, but doesn't turn anything "on". My understanding is that the newer ones need to have a fuse pulled (as do most vehicles). Not a "biggie" - but we decided to buy the '06.
