Our MH is resting for the winter in its barn next to my workshop. Outside temperature this morning in Virginia was 26F but inside the MH barn its 46. As I opened the door this morning there was a strong "egg smell". Not the unpleasant rotten egg smell but more like the sulfur smell while preparing deviled eggs. The smell is not inside the coach only inside the area surrounding the coach.

My inverter is always on but I don't smell anything near the battery compartment. My gray and black tanks are empty. I had the coach out last week to get a new washer dryer and slide topper installed.

So far I haven't been able to locate the source. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Check to see if your fridge is working. Could be the ammonia? that they use for cooling, your cooling unit could of leaked. Your fridge will not cool.

I'd check the water levels in the batteries. All of them...coach and chassis.

The only other egg smell I have had experience with comes from the water heater but that doesn't show up till you run the hot water.

Batteries outgasing will smell this way. Is your inverter working correctly... not overcharging. turn inverter off for a day and see if smell goes away. Propane has a unique smell, not exactly like eggs, but still a smell. Close your propane valve and see if it goes away. Do you have any natual gas in the barn..heaters, etc? Natual gas smells more like eggs. pilot lite could have gone out.

When our propane gets very low, we get a smell somewhat like what you are describing. Don't know why. . . .

Just a thought... Could you actually have some rotten eggs from last summer that you forgot about?? They too smell like rotten eggs. LOL

If it isn't batteries, I would flush the entire water system including fresh water tank as water can sometimes cause like sulfur. Even though you drained both tanks the smell could still be there coming from the vent
