Looking for advice on which topper to purchase. Have new 5th wheel coming and need to get one. Have looked at both the foam type and a mattress pad type. Been looking at Wal Mart they have the king size foam for $79. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks in advance

We tried a topper and it didn't do much for us. We settled for an air mattress under the original mattress and that was an improvement. Had it on the top for a while but the edges weren't firm enough that way and you felt like you would roll onto the floor. An unexpected benefit has been, in colder weather the bed is warmer due to the insulating value of the air matress. I believe we got it at Wally world but not sure as the difference in size of the RV bed made it a little difficult to find.

Got a queen size from Sam's Club. It was much better than the plain camper mattress. It is now in our 2nd camper.

We've got the Momory form topper from Wal-Mart highly reccomend this makes a difference. We also put one on our couch bed in the trailer inlaws that have camped with us said with the topper they could not feel the bar which normally hit them in the middle of the back.

Ordered a memory foam topper from overstock.com. King size - cut it down to rv queen. It is GREAT!!! We now love our rv bed. Bought our sone a twin at walmart for the jack-knife couch. What a difference. Makes me want one at home on our top of the line mattress.

Just put a zippered mattress cover over the topper and mattress to hold it in place. We didn't cut off the extra length. Just wrapped it over the end. This solved our too short mattress problem, now that my hubby's feet can hang over in comfort.

We bought the memory topper from Sam's Club, and added a Serta mattress cover pad. Our RV bed is as comfortable as our 3K dollar pillow top at home

We use a 2" Memory Foam Topper plus a Feather Bed. One without the other just doesn't work for me. I got spoiled by the Pillow Top residential & while the DT's mattress is okay, it's even better than our old PT with MFT & FB.

I bought a 3" memory foam topper fromOverstock. Current price is $129.99.
From experience I would recommend at least a 3" topper.
