Hi all! Were looking for suggestions on where to stay in the Coco Beach area, and North/South of Tampa. Close to the beaches would be nice but if it means staying more inland for a better campground, that would be OK. Thank you!

I have not been there but if I were in your position and no one here can help, I would look at RV Park Reviews to get an idea.

Here is the link: RVPark Reviews for Florida.

I fully understand that you don't want to know what the State has to offer. You want to hear from real live people that have been there.

Good luck and have fun.

Last year the family and I stayed at Bay Bayou RV Resort for a couple of nights. It was a great place, quiet, nice pool & good ammenities lots of resident campers though, depending on how long your staying it is a worthwhile choice. I found it through Good Sam Club I don't know if you have to be a member to stay. Make sure to get good directions kinda hard to find (even sheriff officer had to ask partner). They have a web site baybayou.com check them out.

I like Manatee Hammock Campground. It is on the inland water way directly across from Cape Kennedy about 5 miles south of Titusville.. About 23.00 per night.

We really like the Dunedin RV Resort obviously in Dunedin. Handy to everything including beaches and a perfectly clean and friendly campground.

In January we stayed at Dunedin RV Resort because it is across the highway from the Pinellas Bike Trail; one of the best in Florida, and a couple of miles from the beach.

We have been staying at Outdoor resorts on Melbourne Beach, about 30 miles south of Cocoa Beach; right across A1A from the ocean, three pools, 6 tennis courts and on a bike path right along A1A....580 sites with 130 for rv's...rest are park models...also borders on the Indian River...
