Hap, that's what I'm going to find out tomorrow. I hope they are chipped. I had my last dog Chipped and think its a good idea. Losing a pet is like loosing a close family member.

Unfortunately I can not keep these dogs if I cant find the owners so I will need to find a good family to care for them.

That's great what your doing! What breed are the dogs? The reason I ask is, if you can't keep them, we might be interested in one of them. We lost our dog last August (he died) he was an Australian Shepherd, he had epilepsy and died a because of a violent seizure. My wife was and still is heartbroken over losing him.

If my dogs ever come up missing I hope you find them. Thanks for doing a good turn and hopefully they find their way back home.

Phildo, Thanks for doing a great thing, but I gotta ask...

Is it hard to keep your Alpha Dog status with all those Dogs in the house?

Just a reminder to those of you with pets that are chipped. Make sure you keep your info updated. Home Again, which is what our dogs have, has a website and you can log in and keep that data up to date. We chipped our dogs before we left for full timing and the first time I looked. . . . there was all the OLD contact info. Make sure you keep the phone numbers at least up to date. Also there is a place for an emergency contact in the event, heaven forbid, you have an accident and only your pets survive. In our case, our son who knows our dogs well, would be able to take them and provide a safe home for them.

Don't give up finding the owners. If they have been lost for a couple weeks or people are traveling, it could be quite some time before you connect with them. Keep trying. Normally newspapers will run these kinds of ads for free.

I would hope that any one of us would do the same thing. If your a pet owner you know how you would feel.

One dog looks to be a chocolate lab mix about 50lbs with a brown leather collar. He looks to be only a year or two old.

The other looks like he could be a Australian Shepherd mix, black and brown brindle mix with no collar. Both are males and have been fixed.

Derwud, as long as Angus shows the others who is the boss I have nothing to worry about because he knows who the "Alpha Dog" is.

That's what I thought too but the wife didn't think so. That looks just like him though.
