Just got back from the Vet and the Weimaraner is chipped. His name is Dakota. His chip is reg to a Vet in Sacramento. They contacted the original owner who gave him to a new owner. The original owner only has an email address for the new owner so he was emailed. Hopefully he hasn't changed his email. Were just waiting for a contact now.

I just got off the phone with the owner. He lives in Hesperia and was doing a site survey near where we found them. He is going to come get them tomorrow.

That is pretty cool that you went out of your way to make sure those two made it home safe. I know I would want someone to do the same for my two dogs.

Kudo's to Camper! What a great story and a happy ending. Once again, just a reminder to update your pets info on the chip. I hope you mention this to the new owner. He may be unaware of it. But thankfully, the process worked!
