Hey all.

I tried to get on for a couple of hours last night and couldn't.

Anyway just wanted to do a quick check. I haven't been online for a couple of days so I got to do some catching up. But that will have to wait a few hours. I need to go to work for awhile.

Anyone going camping this weekend? If you can't find a camp site either, you can always come park on our street with us. Sorry, no hook-ups and you can't put your slides out either

We are dry camping on the north shore of SAL this weekend. First come, first served so no reservations required! Just find a spot and park! We are with some friends who have a boat so we will be having lots of fun out on the lake!

I would guess that with this weekend being the Garlic Festival, all local RV parks are booked solid. I can imagine folks staying in Santa Cruz and then coming over the hill to the festival.

With ~150,000 people cramming into our small town, we are happy to "get out of Dodge"!

We are headed out to Silent Valley Resort by Banning this weekend, we haven't stayed there before so it will be a new experience. Of course we are still pretty new at this so just about everything is a new experience.

Terry, I am reading Barbara Walters' book. Got it for Mother's Day. DD asked to read it when I finish - would you like it after that?

Wish we were camping with Ray and Judy. Circle the wagons!! We could have a bonfire in their front yard and make s'mores

I tried to get online all last evening from 8 to about 10:30 without luck. Have a great weekend everyone.

Eldon and I are camping out on Brannon Island, The Lighthouse. Very hot, very nice, and frankly about time.
We will be here until Monday.

I have not read the thread (yet) I wanted to get this posted

Please click for the pictures

This place is 41 miles from our front door to where we parked. The campground is really clean and the scenery is awesome. Looking our the door of our Motor Home was all you could see is the Barren River Lake. We (Shelia and I) sat for hours looking at the boats the birds and just everything. It was quite peaceful. Brianna (The Dud) stayed inside most of the time. Oh well her loss. The sunsets were absolutely worth the wait. On one of the pictures you can see the clouds the dark grey line hit about 10 minutes after I took the picture with thunder lightning and RAIN and then 15 minutes later it was clear and sunny. It did make for a beautiful sunset. It was so nice being only an hour form home yet so far away. On the way home we filled up with gas for $3.59 a gallon... What a deal.....

Ooh Lee! Beautiful! Tell that bump on the log to get off her fanny or the next time I see her I will kick that very same fanny!!! This looks like it might be a good spot for your Tennessee Rally!

Us? Well, we are stuck here watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean (big sigh), poor, poor us...

Yes Jill, I would love to borrow the Baa Baa Walters book whenever it becomes available. Thank you for thinking of me. Judy lent me a book recently "Stolen Innocence" that I will be reading this weekend. You girls are better than a library!

No 'lectric!? Well, Terry don't like to camp without the 'lectric! So we won't be joining you and Ray, Miss Judy! But I do like the idea of the S'mores!

We're just finishing our stay at Pomo in Fort Bragg. The weather's great - nice and cool. We've done all the tourist stuff including the skunk train. Now its time to head for home and the heat of the valley.
Sure wished we lived closer to the beach.
Hey Butch, we were interested in R-Ranch as well at one point. We met a couple in Oregon who are members and spend a lot of time there. If you check it out, let us know how it is... They said second-hand memberships were around $1,500 or so at the most...
