We toured the Great Smoky Mountains National Park today. The colors are not quite out yet. Everyone says it will be another month before the colors really come out. I took all kinds of pictures and will try and do some to Photobucket and then post the link here....
Tomorrow we head to MB... You all be sure and clean your rig and make Dan's rig look bad...... LoL....... ha ha ha ha ha

Yep, it's the same one. I'm going back up around the 17th and will start work on it. First project is to get it watertight (without plastic sheeting.) Then, I'll see if refrig., furnace, water heater, elec., etc. work. The water pump is sitting on a shelf, so there will be some plumbing to do, too. I should probably look for a place for an HD TV, too, but that can wait.

Good morning! I'm sitting here thinking about being at SAL this time next week, with the aroma of Jill & Bill's bananna pancakes floating through the air. That reminds me, a few of us should help out with some of the other breakfast items. No sign up sheet and I'll volunteer to bring a big pan of srambled eggs.
Ray & I have been fasting all night, we both have to go in for a blood test at 9 AM this morning, then we'll immediately go out to breakfast After breakfast we will go by the storage lot and get the 5er and bring her home.
I am going to be a busy girl this weekend, got goody bags to assemble, prizes to wrap and then pack it all. I have to pack and hide things, don't want to listend to Ray complain about all the extra weight! Oh well, we'll come home weighing a lot less.
Havent posted in awhile, but we are still coming!! So very excited!! Its been about 2 months since we went camping, so too long!
We can get a few packages of sausages to cook up for the pancake breakfast and bring.
Also, for those coming from the Sacramento area... which way does everyone go? Yahoo maps says to go 80-680-101. However, when we go to San Luis Obispo, we go I5 and over to 101 thru Avenal. I know that way would be okay towing the TT, but if the other one is okay, travel wise, and faster, then I am open to that way as well.
thanks!! and we look forward to seeing everyone!

Looks like SAL is just around the corner for all but us, darn! Everyone enjoy it as always.
We haven't been anywhere since our vacation in early Aug. and I still haven't posted pictures.
Still working in Merced at the new Mercy Hospital and am staying at the Lakes in Chowchilla in the MH which is very nice although lonely during the week by myself however I've met some nice neighbors there.
Again, enjoy SAL and take it easy on the pancakes and ice cream. Jim & Linda
We are already packing and Bob is getting ready to do some fishing. Does anyone else going fish? I don't realy like to fish with him. He gets a little too serious about it sometimes.
We will be bringing our boat and would be happy to share it with you guys. Anybody else bringing one?
I guess we should sign up for some stuff. Friday night we will cook a couple of tri-tips and bring some snacks and Saturday we will bring a side dish and snacks. We would also like to pitch in for the breakfast. What should we bring?
This is our first Rally and we are looking forward to meeting all of you. Bob is tring to get of work friday so we may be able to make it on Thursday night.

Karen, since you are a newbie and haven't seen this photo before, I'll show you a picture of what happened to me at the October SAL rally 2 years ago when I accepted a fellow camper's invitation to go water skiing....
Thought I would drop in and wish everyone a fun rally, looks like the weather is going to be in your favor and the dust all settled after this little rain, I wish we could be there with you all.
If anyone is interested in car pooling over the hill to Pacific Valley there is a Big Sur Jade Festival happening, arts & crafts, especially Big Sur Jade, local music and fun times, all free admission. here's one of the links.
