Well I finally got my new 2008 Jayco G2 26bhs. The PDI went fairly well with only a few things for the dealer to adjust. I had to put it in a storage lot until the shakedown trip next weekend. I must say for a newbie I got it backed into the slot on the first try! My wife gave the directions and she did great. We did hire a babysitter so I didn't have my 10 month old in the truck screaming since it was late at night. This was a great idea and allowed wifey and I to concentrate on backing.
I have one gripe though. Why don't trailer dealers want to follow the intstructions that come with my Equalizer hitch? I had to stand there and go over it with the tech and its still not right. The trailer has a slight nose up look and I know is should be level if not slightly downward on the nose. Oh well this gives me something to do. See you at the campground! Oh yea and the trailer is way bigger once you leave the lot!!!!!!

Awesome, congratulations on the new Jayco. And you're so correct, trailers are WAY bigger when you tow them off the lot for the first time. Happy RVing!

Here it is....Here it is! It always took me a day of fiddling to get the ride height just right. Our Jayco (our 7th Jayco, by the way!) is a 2003 Jay Flight 28.5BHS with the same, exact floor plan as yours! Love it, and the kids will love it too!

Congratulations! Welcome to the Jayco Family, you'll have lots of safe, fun family adventures ahead!

Hello Wlhm,
Your trailer was probably empty and dry during the initial lot setup. Your hitch should be level to slightly down with a traveling load on board. Good luck and enjoy your new rig.

We have the Eagle 322FKS and the nose was never up. Loaded or unloaded. The Equalizer brand is the greatest and easiest.

And you're right about the length. I remember when we brought our baby home I looked at it hooked up to our Megacab and wondered if I should get a truckers license for that beast...
