I am about to purchase my first toy hauler (my second in 2 days but that is another story). I would really appreciate any and all opinions on a 2005 27ft Wanderer Wagon TH. I am very nervous. If anyone knows the dimensions of the storage when all the furniture is folded or what can fit and be safely towed in one that would help me greatly as well Thanks so much Tracie

When I was purchasing my toy hauler, I did look at the Wanderer. I did not buy because when I crawled underneath, I found that the frame was so light duty, that I felt it would not sustain long term use without deforming. Also, compared to other brands, the interior fitting was very poor. The unit was less expensive than others, but in my opinion, the little extra cost for a better unit was a better deal.

Our first TH was a Wanderer 217FB. Only problem we had was the water tanks were not supported properly (actually rested on the axles when full). The factory made a BS attempt at reinfocing the saddles but they broke too. I beefed them up myself and never had a problem again.

I would have seriously considered another Thor CA product but did not like the floor plan.

I can't complain about Wanderer, we got some good use out of ours, just wanted a 5er

I forgot about the tank problem,
I reinforced ours and took out the sheet metal screws and replaced them with bolts/nuts.

Basically same here except I ditched the 10 gage angle they used for belly bands and went with 1" square tubing.

I have a 2004 18ft thor wanderer wagon. I love it except it leaks everywhere. Caulked everything and still leaks in areas and cant figure out how or why. Ive ripped my whole floor out and the back walls are history.I dont know if they have a history of leaking but mine sure did. Once i fix it im done with camping. Been a real headache. Other than that I like the camper.

We have a 2003 Wanderer 21' toyhauler. Only have a little over 40,000 miles on it so far, but no leaks or problems to speak of.

We did junk Carlisle tires immediately, and install Coopers, but that is because I do not use Chinese tires (my choice).

Hope you enjoy your new toy!

Mine developed a leak too after a couple of years. Found it was where the aluminum and rubber came together at the back. They wrapped the aluminum up onto the roof and seamed it there, not a good design. I scraped off the old sealer and resealed with some duct sealer we use at work, works like a champ.
