For my money I would buy a good used Foretravel, save the depreciation, enjoy one of the best chassis in the rv world and put the saveings in the fuel tank.

Fleetwood came on board in December 07 at the Discovery rally and repaired at no cost my florescent lighting problem and provided a kit for repairing my toilet. All at no cost. During my warranty period, Fleetwood stepped up and paid for all repairs in a timely manner.
Me too: On my 2006 Discovery, Fleetwood extended the one year warranty on the windows to 3 years. Next month Tom Johnson is replacing a dual pane window in my coach 2.5 years old - no charge material and labor. Tiffin is a great coach but sell it on its own merits and not by trashing Fleetwood.
By the way - remember all the posters here who used the same comparisons to sell National over Fleetwood? What kind of warranty service do they have now?????
MY 2 cents no bashing fleetwoods. Im dissapointed that my dealer stopped selling newmar MH. They just sell Fleetwoods line. Ive talked to fleetwood owners and tiffins. Ive heard more satisfactory tiffin owners than fleetwoods. Right now I would not hesitate in buy a tiffin pusher. Good Luck and get the best discount off MSRP you can get. Chuck

I have a Fleetwood and have had no issue with service at all. I think it really more depends on individual dealers. Anyway, the price that he lists for the Discovery seems too high to me. Is he looking at list price for both?
I have the utmost respect for both Fleetwood and Tiffin. In fact, my lowly Fleetwood Terra 32S is the most reliable piece of machinery I've ever owned!
My intent by originating this fruitful thread was merely to find out about the experience from owners of coaches I'm highly interested in for purchase in the immediate future. In my book, it would take an extraordinary issue to consider a coach different from Fleetwood. Tiffin's quality and service seems to be at least as good as Fleetwood's, judging from the responses not only from you, but from many other fellow RVers that were kind enough to share their opinion here.
Thanks to you and all for sharing a bit of your experience!

All that say they have had no problems with customer service at Fleetwood should consider yourself lucky. Fleetwood's words to us about buying a new Bounder, were, " Fleetwood is not ready to do anything but REPAIR the damages in the coach". We were told to getr ourselves a good lawyer if we wanted anything replaced. Every window leaked because they never sealed the walls around the windows. They refused to do anything but take them out and reinstall them. They still refused to seal the walls. The damage was already done. The whole kitchen came off the wall, becausde of it and they put it back using L clamps on the sides. That looked really great. The kitchen wall turned to moosh because it was wet all the time. The were really sorry about that. The rear bedroom slid leaked and we had a lake when it rained. We were told to get up and bring the slide in when it rained. Try that at 3:30 am. By the time we finally sold the Bounder, the mold was so bad that we were told to throw a match in it. All the dealers we were sent to told us that they had paying customers and we would have to wait month's and that was no guarentee that they would not have paying customers at that time. Swollow that one. Spend Christmas and New Years in a dealers parking lot because the jacks won't go up and tell me how good Fleetwood is. When the guarentee was up, we were told that there was nothing that Fleetwood can do for us and we never heard from Duane again. That is how concerned they were. Sorry guys, I can not say anything good about Fleetwood.

I could tell a story very similar to Merlin44 about our 2003 Fleetwood DP, but it is very evident that the ones on this thread don't want to hear the bad along with the good about Fleetwood. All I will say is buyer beware when it comes to Fleetwood.

Sounds to me the personal involvement from Mr. Tiffen is unbelievable. But having said that, it appears this whole company is being driven by his great personal service and his personal dedication....but, what happens to the company, god forbid, should he pass away. What will happen to this company? Are there other Mr. Tiffins waiting in the wings, will the company be restructured,etc...sounds like this company has all of its eggs in one basket. Just a thought...

I seem to recall that Bob retired, things didn't go well under his sons, and thus he returned.

That is an under statement. They almost lost the business, before he came back.
