My family and I are taking a tip in 2 weeks and need a campground on or near the following cities: ~ Nashville, TN ~ Louisville, KY ~ Cincinnati, OH ~.
We want a Campground that does not allow alcohol and has a huge playground. Family friendly. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks ahead of time.

KOA's are family parks. Don't know of any that prohibit alcohol though. I am a non drinker and none of the parks have ever been a problem.

I found this web site linked through God's Bible School in Cincinnati (That's about as conservative-holiness Christian a school/college as you're ever gonna get in the USA). It looks like its a county run campground.
I've never been to this campground, but I am very familiar with God's Bible School in Cincinnati.
I'll do some more searching for the other two areas you're looking for.

Canaan Acres Louisville, KY
White Acres Campground, Ky
I'm not familiar with either of these, but they sound like they might meet your criteria. Both were Google Searched with "Christian" defined.
"Christan" can mean a lot of different things, I suggest call the campgrounds or doing more research before going."
By the way, welcome to the forums!

In many states, the entire State Park system prohibits the (public) use of alcohol, so any of those campgrounds might be a possibility for you. Apparently our Lord's first miracle, turning water into wine, didn't happen at a state park. Have a great trip!

Check out Christian Camping International. This is an organization that has a directory of Christian camps and conference grounds and many of these members have RV sites available for use.
I have been on staff at three CCI camps and all welcomed RV's.

Yes, all state and federal parks prohibit alcohol...in words only. You still see lots of folks drinking...the rule is not enforced unless the campers are loud and drunk in public.

There has been a lot of good inputs on this thread. But, it's a tough nut to crack in the end. We shelter our children as much as possible. We homeschool and bible study is our main curriculum. However, there our times when our kids get exposed to people behaving badly. Sometimes we just have to tell them that they are not old enough for a full explanation (like when the high school kid had SEXY written on the back window of her car and my son said what does that mean ).
That being said. We have never seen any drunks cruising around in the state parks that we have camped at. Everyone seems to behave themselves.
