HI,
I am looking at buying a toy hauler, and so far the one we seem to like most is the Jayco Octane 24Z. Before I buy, I wanted to se if anyone here has any insight on them. If you have one or you know someone who does, hows the quality and any problems to things to be concerned about?

I'm glad you asked. Right now I am leaning heavily towards this one myself. So far I haven't read anything negative about it. There is some info on here. I would like to hear more/updated from anybody who currently owns one.

I'm a very proud owner of a 2007 Jayco 24Z. We bought ours last Sept and got 30% off MSRP so I feel we did good with the price. I believe most Jayco's come pretty much loaded at least ours did the only option that we don't have is the screen room not to be confused with the screen wall which we do have. You looking at a 07 or 08? We have only taken ours out three times once with Toys and the other two times were just weekend trips with the family. Quality wise it has been good so far. The only issue we had which we discovered during our PDI was a cracked IPOD cable and the top bunk wouldn't lock in like it was supposed to they had to redrill the holes in the bed frame.

We've got an '06 Octane 24Z and absolutely love it! We use it as much as possible and have no complaints. My only criticism would be the lack of outside storage. Since we don't have a generator at the moment, we use that space to store our chocks, hoses, etc.

Good point Funcan regarding outside storage. I think most of entry level or smaller TH's don't have the outside storage. My brother has a Carson and he lacks the outside storage as well. We have the gen so we don't even have that storage so I just use totes.

I have the Octane T26Y, purchased last April and have over 7000 miles on it. Although it has had a few minor repairs, mostly cosmetic, my only real problem is that the Onan generator does not run very well, but will be going to the shop soon.

All in all, the trailer is very good, and any warranty work is taken care of with no hassles.

My only real complaint with the T26Y is that it is very long. And that can sometimes be a problem here in the midwest. We need more open spaces!

I know it is not a listed option but does anybody know if Jayco would enclose the under belly on an Octane? I was also curious about possibly more insulation.
Also, does anybody have the screen room? It appears to be the type that goes all the way to the ground so the ramp could be closed up with it still attached?

Thanks,
Rick

I have the screen room, but i have never used it so i dont know if it goes to the ground, good question. My Talon is insulated under it, but the tanks are exposed.
