Bought this stuff last week at the Houston RV show. Has anyone ever used it. I bought it because the told me it was chemical free would break down regulat TP paper in black tank, and most of all since it was chemical free I could dump black water into my aerobic septic system. Please give any input into this product from past users. They have a site : 1lonestarhappycamper.com.

Man I hope I did not buy any "snake oil"

no I don't think you bought snake oil. I have camped now for over 40 years and have used just about everything they make. I have been using happy camper now for about three years and don't think I will go back to any of the other stuff. I like it, no smell when dumping, I really like that.

I switched to the Happycampers treatment two years ago upon the recommendation that someone else posted here on RV.NET. Great stuff. That is all we use.

Nope, as mentioned above, you dind't buy "snake oil." We switched to the product over 3 years ago and haven't looked back. The product does what it says it's going to do! It's awesome.

Happy Campers Odorless Holding Tank Treatment

I can't recommend it highly enough.

seems way overpriced to me.
and remember, it is a holding tank, not a septic tank.

We had an almost full tank using Potty Toddies. Smell got bad and the dreaded "mountain" became a problem, due to our extreme water conservation. Dumped in a double dose or Happy Camper (per instructions for first time), and within a day the tank was pretty well-liquified with no more mountain problem. The smell was way better, too.

Curiousity required that I investigate further. I drained two buckets from the tank, and schlepped them to a nearby pit toilet. The first bucket was a thick sludge, as if it had sat in the dump chute and appeared to be unaffected by the HC. The second bucket was quite liquified, confirming my observation from above that the HC had done a good job of liquifying the contents of the tank.

Since then, we have used HC from the start of each trip, and everything seems to be well-liquified. I wouldn't call our black tank odor-free, but it is a different smell, and not very offensive.

It would be interesting to do similar with a few other well-recommended products, but we are ........Oh, Geeze, I just can't bring myself to say it.

Obviously another product you have not used that you have an opinion on.

Anyone that uses this that could help me....I realize that I "should" be able to figure this out myself...HAVING SAID THAT, could someone who uses this product give me an idea on size using the pint, quart, gallon method - How large/small are the containers - 40, 64, 130oz. I would "assume" it translates straight across ??? Just want to know what space I would need to fit the container(s) into. Thanks. (Mathmatically challenged today!!)
