Does it have to be alcohol free, or would uber kid friendly be sufficient? I've never stayed anywhere that alcohol was not allowed on the individual sites. I've also never stayed anywhere that had loud, drunken parties going on! I know it happens to some folks but even the time we camped 2 spots over from a huge crowd of college kids, the noise was minimal and no one was stumbling about or peeing in the bushes.

I'd spend more energy trying to find places that are listed as kid and family friendly, where loud and obnoxious behavior would liekly not be a problem. Find a place with full time, on site staff. Places like KOA and Jellystone have very clear rules about behavior and noise. In GA, the state parks have work campers that run the cgs. Usually they are seniors with little tolerance for misbehaving That may be true for many states park services.

Have a fun trip!

Try calling that Christan campground and ask them if they know of any others.

I did this. And am still looking into it.

And I can name 3 in MI that are completely alcohol free and Christian oriented. I was only posting hoping to find some in other States that someone may know of. To make my searches easier that's all. Sorry if I offended people.

Many of us understand your plight, but many of us also have different concepts of kid friendly. Camperland on the Bay in San Diego is one of the kid friendliest places I can think of. Lots of security, planned activities. Group sports in age groups, movies at night. That said, it also has no beverage restrictions (which you find important) it allows children to run around and make lots of noise. Children often run through campsites. Families gather as groups and party into the night. I love going there with children, and grandchildren, I would not want to be anywhere near the place with adult friends. Rubies in Utah at Bryce Canyon is also family friendly, with horseback riding, a weekly rodeo, and lots of hiking trails. Petaluma KOA near San Francisco, and Williams KOA near the Grand Canyon also come to mind as places we have traveled with the children, and grandchildren. All permit alcoholic beverages. Sometimes you just have to rely on your own ability to teach your children right. Not meaning to be offensive. We were just at a campground where I had to explain to my grandchildren why the the two little girls from Germany were in the pool without tops. Oh My, that was a hard one. Best to you, and keep enjoying the RV lifestyle. It is a wonderful way to keep family together. Happy Trails.

Just a thought, what about camping at a site on a Native reservation. I don't have any personal experience, but lots of the reserves here in Canada are dry. If alcohol is an issue, that might be one way to avoid it.

Lots of place say no alcohol, but rarely enforce it on individual camp sites as long as you are not loud or unruly. So basically, if you do not want to see someone sitting under his awning and enjoying a cold one....don't look and I won't look at you.

You mentioned needing a campground in the Cincinnati area, check out Little Farm on the River in Rising Sun Indiana. I don't remember an alcohol policy one way or the other, but as non-drinkers, we've never noticed any wild parties there. It's a nice family friendly CG on the Ohio River with a pool and weekend activities.

Sorry that you took my post personally. It has nothing to do with you or anyone else who drinks. Do what you want!!!!

I am just looking and thought some here would know. I am surprised at how many take it as a personal attack. I really am sorry. It was not meant to be this way.

For those who take offense to my post, just don't read it than. Click out of it and you are all good. When I read something that offends me, I don't waste my time to post on that topic or to finish reading it. I have much better things to do with my time.

I've read enough posts by Ken to know that he didn't take it as an attack - his wording was a witty way to say that he'd be among the calm, responsible, quiet drinkers who wouldn't offend you.

I agree with what most have posted - Texas state parks do not allow alcohol, but all of the rangers will say that they only enforce it for "visible alcohol" (so essentially they mean - pour it in a red cup or put a coozy on it) and parties. (If you're loud, you're going to have problems.)

There are a few good places around here that are Christian run camps, but I don't know if they have any places for RV's or not. . . they definitely all have cabins.

Sky Ranch

Camp Copass

Timberline Camp

East Texas Baptist Encampment - Definitely has RV sites

Call these camps and if they don't have RV sites, they might know of some local options that would satisfy you.

Good luck - let us know what you find!

For the East Texas Baptist Encampment, here's the direct link to the RV site: ETBE RV Sites
