Lisa, Leona Hemsley's problem was not that she was rich, but rather that she looked down on anyone who was not in her very small circle of friends. That included other billionaires My disdain about using RV Parks or Campgrounds is that none of the occupants measure up to my standards. I have yet to see one woman who can compare to the beauty of Aishwarya Rai.
I'm sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings but it's just that everyone is just, well, just plain looking. Nothing like you see in the advertisements of RV'ers. Yep, I've got pride also, so if I do not find a RV Park that fits my ideas when I pull into it, I just move on to the next one and the next one until I find that one perfect match.
Is me being bad moderator? ;(
Moderator note....Wow, I go away on a little one nite getaway and it looks like a second grade classroom breakdown
So, I am back and I want no more bashing of anyone. Everyone has their own views.
I really don't want to close this topic.

Some may not like negative comments about parks, but they are out there, and comments about specific parks are valuable to others. Like Natural High in NH. We went there with Coast to Coast, because of the description. Their advertising both in C2C and their website was false. We had to stay, as the next park we were due to go to, had no open spaces. And we had chosen this park, as we had an appointment nearby to have our generator get a tuneup.
We filed a complaint with C2C listing 27 MAJOR things wrong with the campground. A two hour wait, as the person in the office was not qualified to find our reservation, and the manager was not there. Then they took us to five sites, which had not sewer connection or running water and electric which was out of order.
Things like clogged toilets in the building where the restaurant was located. We complained, they said they would call a plumber, but a week later they were still clogged, and the smell permeating the restaurant. Indoor pool full of green algae, Jacuzzis roped off with yellow tape and not working. Members said they had not been working all summer. 8 Outside showers with signs posted you had to take a shower before entering the pool, had no running water. Doors hanging off the hinges, between men and womens rest rooms, so you could see into both of them where children were changing out of bathing suits, etc. None of the washing machines or dryers were working, etc., and the list just went on and on. Their excuse for all this, "We bought the campground a year ago, and have not had time to fix everything. But, they still advertised it was available.
Coast to Coast I can report, checked with them, they did not deny any of the complaints, and our money for the entire week was refunded. The President personally sent an apology, and thanked us for reporting the condition. Also have noticed, Natural High has been removed from the Coast to Coast list of campgrounds.

IMO, Lisa's post was well taken and I agree with everyting she said.
If any posts are deleted by moderators regarding this - it should be those of her critics.

I don't want to see anybody's post deleted. Sometimes these things need to be worked out. I think that we all have seen the good and bad in everything as we progress through this life.
One thing that I was taught in my life is that, rich or poor there is no excuse to not be clean or for your house to be dirty.
I know that some people have it a lot harder then others but we should take care of what we have and think of others in the process.
Ok, enough about Lisa's post - let's get back to the OP topic. And BTW, although I posted wanted to add we did not have (and still don't) have washer/dryer in MH. It is a PITA to do laundry. Love being at home and put in a few items because I want to instead of waiting for a full load when in the MH. And did I metion having at least 2 bathrooms in a s/b instaed of 1 in the MH?? Love it!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry but reading Lisa's post offended me, as I am one who full times and still has to get up every morning to go to work (having a ways to go before retiring)> There are a LOT of people out there that full time because they travel with their job, I was one for a while, RV sure beats living out of motel rooms, so it's not that we can't afford other means, I don't see the need to put my 5er in storage and live in an apartment. And yes someday I will build my house, but will always have a RV. I find that most RV park people are some of the most honest people around. And yea I wash my rig and do my best to keep her looking good, but from time to time there is some stuff setting outside, I do own a smoker, it smokes some mean brisket too, I've a picnic table and chairs, so Lisa probably wouldn't like me, not that... no I'm going to be nice.
I love full timing, but like it has been said it's not for everyone, you need to be somewhat of an adventurer at heart with someone next to you willing to follow.
The best thing is to try it for 6-12 months and see how you feel about going back to the s/b. Sorry about rambling but thought it needed to be expressed by one who's not retired.
