It has not really been a talent competition now for some weeks.
Talent has been loosing to fan base of individual competitors, even though these same competitors have less talent than those voted off the show.
Jason Castro is prime example of this. Not that he is not talented, but, as the show goes on, it is becoming increasingly apparent that his ability is very constrained within a certain level. Yet his fan base is keeping him on the show, despite his lack of talent.

There is not one single singer on this show this year that I would buy their CD when it came out. I think they are all boring and not that good.
What started out as "the year with all good singers" has quickly turned into the most boring year of all.
Especially when they keep singers like Brooke and Jason..it's beyond me.
It was written in an article that Jordin Sparks has been the lowest selling artist of all the winners of AI. Maybe its time for this show to end. Its lost its sparkle.

The singing by Carly & Syesha this week was clearly better than Jason's.
