I have the Hypertech and I run it on 90 HP setting.
I wouldn't go too much higher for fear of limping my Allison. Go to dieselplace.com and look around there. Those guys will help you with any type of programmer you want. Some are running unbelievable amounts of HP.

I just have to ask why do you need a gadget to get more HP. You are driving the best Diesel that being a Duramax. I just don't understand the need for more HP. You will be taking a chance of have serious engine problems. Do you want to take that chance to get more HP. You know these Duramax engines cost between $12,000 to $15,000 to get them replaced. Don't think I would spend several hundred to have a gadget on my Duramax. Also the Allison will only take so much HP. Good Luck... GBY...

And don't forget your warranty!
The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) in the Duramax will "remember" there has been a chip even after you remove it.
The Tech tool at the dealership will tell them you had one.
Your 100K warranty MAY be toast!
If you have over 100K on the truck it's a non-issue.

I have to ask the same question...Why??? If I can pull this 16K lb monster down the road and up/down the mountains with little effort why would you want to upgrade it?? IMHO, leave it be and drive it!!

Pretty much of a non-issue. I chipped mine a week after I got it. Stopped by GM and took the service manager for a ride, he was impressed and we talked. Should you damage the engine or drive train, melt a piston or turbo and it is related to the chip, well then you'd probably be on your own.
Now I did have a problem, turns out it was pretty much of my own making. The chip/program makers tell you to be sure that you have a good battery charge before doing anything. Well, I went to change program modes (performance to towing) with old batteries that were weak from a GPS being on for a few days and the truck not being used. It wiped out the memory. It had to do to the dealer for a memory reflash. Told the service writer exactly what happened, what I did and what I though had gone wrong, including informing him about the program chip. They laughed, reflashed the memory to the latest version, informed me that my batteries were due to be replaced, took my credit card for $100 and we went for a test ride. Service manager then informed me that I had 2 marginal injectors, there is a 200,000 mile warranty on these injectors and when can I bring it in for them to replace them for me, under warranty, no charge. They changed the injectors, engine oil, all fluid filters, flushed the cooling system, filled with fresh coolant and washed my truck, at no cost.

Point is, a chip or a programer will not necessarily void your warranty.

By the way, made it more fun to drive, lots more power and about a 10% increase in fuel mileage if I drove it sanely, about 20% less if I was using all that power. One heck of a bargain, 100 hp for $300 and installed in less than 5 minutes, no waiting, no grease under my nails.

If you get a BULLY DOG programer it has the option of erasing all and reinstalling the origional setting. The dealer can not detect it, how do I know well me and a tech tried it with the tech tool and nothing showed. The bully dog has three settings and the tow haul mode will get you the extra you are looking for when pulling with close to same milage. Then if you want to play with the kids on the street you can go to the higher setting and this will make a dually smoke the tires. The bully dog will work on all three Ford,Dodge,GM whitch makes it easer to sell ifyou ever want to. There are tunners out there that will give you more if you want to go racing but for all around this one is hard to beat and simple to operate.

I'm with you. My D max does just what I hoped it would do and more. How fast do you want to go up the hills? We're already passing the other diesels out there lol.
