We will be traveling from South Florida and staying overnight at
Jax/Kingsland KOA in Georgia. From there our final destination
is Pipestem RV Resort in Pipestem, WV.
We need a place to stay overnight between the two places -
Georgia & WV.
We don't really know our route yet so any suggestions are helpful
and may have to plan our route around a place to stay!
Thanks,
Jo

You don't say when you'll be traveling... but, I'd recommend taking I-26 to I-77 to WV. Personally, from Jax, I'd shoot for the Charlotte, NC area for a one night stop.
My fav campground in the area is Ebenezer Park in Rock Hill, SC. It's first come, first served and very popular with the locals. This time of the year, site availability is good during the week. Weekends are 'iffy'. During the camping season, it's tough anytime. But, it's a real gem and the price is right.
Another alternative is the Fort Mill KOA, easy off and on to I-77. Carowinds also sports a campground. From Charlotte, you'll be about 3 hours to Pipestem. Fuel prices are much better in Wytheville, VA. than WV. Pipestem is a pretty area... Enjoy.
the KOA inRock Hill is a noce place to stay, We stayed there back in january coming down to Florida. Not knowing how far you want to travel makes it hard. We have also stayed at the KOA in Wythevill. It is just down the exit and right near the Flying J. Both places can hold large vehicles.

We will be traveling during the height of camping season - last week of July and first week of August.
Ebenezer Park is out because of NO reservations and we are two fivers on the road with kids - gotta have a guaranteed spot to stay.
Looks as if I'll be checking into the KOA's.......although I hate to spend that
kind of money for about 10 hours of use!
We have never been to Pipestem before and were concerned about the size of our rig, also - we have a 35 ft. 5er. I called the park and they were very helpful and didn't think it would be a problem. We are headed there in June.
Do a search on this forum for Pipestem. You'll see another thread about this same topic. Before you give up and go somewhere else, give them a call.
