I was livid when I found out Warrior was changing the design on my 05 to the TV in the rear. They ended up thinking better of it though and changed it back to the forward cabinet before they built mine out. I had planned on removing the rubber facia on the rotating shelf that the TV sits on and cutting it flush with the cabinet, then replacing the rubber strip with adhesive if necessary. I had even considered swapping the TV for a flat panel and cutting away the excess material arount the TV housing, but never had to go beyond that. The TV is mounted right through the shelf with screws covered with wood-like tape.

jeepgeek, I have thought the exact same thing. I am still tempted to do some cutting and if I really want to take my Jeep out camping with us, it is the only way.

I like your 5th wheel setup.

Yes, see signature lines.

I have hauled it only 3 times for about 1700 miles total so far. Longest trip was to south Texas. I have the electric Queens beds in the back and I had to remove the top one to get my Jeep to fit. This way I still have the lower bed that can be used.

Jeep is on 35" tires with a R.E. 5.5" LA lift.

My FS3000 is the triple axle with 16" wheels/tires (3,500lb load capacity per tire) and aluminum siding (weight savings).

If you had the LJ Rubicon I think it will fit. I pull my front bumper right up to within 2-4 inches of the counter/cabinet on the left side and there is about 2' between the back of the Jeep and the trailer ramp/door.

One thing is for sure, I have incentive to not gain any weight!! It is a tight fit to get in and out once in the Hauler!!

I also had to replace the dinky 2K tie down at the 4 corners with some 5k units. I actually broke one of the original 2k rings! They already have 3/16" or 1/8" steel backing plates welded to the frame so I just drilled out the threaded holes for the larger bolts and used nuts and lock washers to secure.

The only thing I would change now is have them delete the last cabinet on the drivers side (road side). We don't need the space and it would make it easy to get in and out of the Jeep.

Not that I have noticed or can see any. The frame is pretty large. It is I believe 8" C channel the entire length including the Tongue and the Jeep tires end up pretty much right over them. The flooring itself is I believe 5/8" or 3/4" thick. Now another advantage I have is I have 35" x 12.5" tires at 10psi so all the weight is dispersed over a large foot print.

Thanks man... I have noticed my mirrors have hit the underside of the cabinets when underway. Apparently the Jeep moves a bit on the road when tied down by the axles. Otherwise there is no problems with the floor or anything else.

Hey George
My mirrors don't come any where close to my cabinets. It must be because I let the air out of my tires.

On another note, I have not seen you in OTRTV yet and now they are doing re-runs?

Yeah, the producer (creator and lifeblood of the show) got really sick and had been hospitalized around the airing of the second episode. The remaining 4 were filmed and edited while he was out and now they are way behind getting advertising and sponsors. They had mentioned at one point that they wanted to resume production in April. The "dirty 30" have their fingers crossed for a full recovery.

How are the factory D rings on the Warriors for use with anchoring down a Jeep?

My wife has given me the ok to go ahead and remove the TV box for additional room. We have a trip tentatively planned for Moab next month and I want my Jeep there too.

I had warrior upgrade my tie downs with 6000 lb units in the corners for use with the jeep, only to find out the factory ones are 5000lb units. I had thought they were only 2500 rated. I use whatever is convenient now based on what I am hauling... Warrior welds a steel plate underneath and bolts into that sandwiching the flooring and making for a sure mount. No problems in 3 years.
