ENJOY!!!! Don't even bother on answering him. Just wave him goodbye every time you go on a trip...and again when you come back with a big smile!!! Our trailer is old but in good shape and wouldn't trade it nor the great times on it. Besides, a Kia takes you to the same places a Rolls do surely with less preocupation. You just take good care of it and again...ENJOY!!!!

Congrats on your purchase. We love our Keystone. If you take reasonable care of it you will have many enjoyable years with it. Don't mind the neighbor. Like others said just honk and wave when your off on the camping trail. Have Fun !

You made a good purchase. Springdale, Summerland, Hideout, Hornet, and Passport, all made by Springdale are good. Like any RV, they are only as good as the owner and how well the owner takes care of them. An expensive, top-of-the-line RV can become trash in just a short time if it's not taken care of.
I'm planning on 15 years with my Keystone Springdale. So far, I've had no problems that couldn't be handled with TLC and a bit a RV smarts! Keep it clean, don't let anything go broken, get it fixed immediately, do preventative maintenance on it, don't abuse it and it will last you a long, long time.
And that guy giving you a hard time, is just jealous! Some people just don't know how to be happy for anyone. And it's amazing its usually the people who criticize the most (as my mother use to say), "who don't have a pot to p*ss in nor a window to throw it out of!" Yet they are the ones that criticize others the most!
Don't listen to him. You made a good choice, and quite beating yourself up with doubt!

It is just trailer envy. He doesn't have one so he had to come up with something to try to make you feel inferior while he is being a snob. As long as you are happy and can enjoy your trailer have fun with it and don't let the snobs bother you.
My 2007 is a cheaper and lighter trailer than some others, but it is what I could afford while making truck payments too. At 28-1/2 feet it is light enough I can tow it with 2000 pounds of water and gear using my half ton. My dad with his bad back is comfortable on the queen size bed and it suits my needs so I am happy with it.

Well maybe it has been said before. But if you like it, that is all that matters. Any RV made has a chance to be a lemon, so the price does not matter. I am sure you will meet people in your travels that are way much nicer, and smarter than your know it all neighbor.

I would just hand him a bag like I pick up my dog's dropings in. Tell him to put his opinions in this and dispose of it properly because that is what they are worth.
Camping is for enjoying the out doors in any way you can.

I find it hard to believe that one human could say something like that to another, even if he did think it. Some people just have NO class.
We have the same basic TT and have had it for over a year. It's been on several weekend off road boondocking trips & 2 long trips through KY, TN, SC, & NC. We've had a total of 2 problems to date.
One was when my wife overloaded the GFI outlet, the breaker tripped and would not reset. Happened on a Friday morning in S.C. $15 @ Lowes and a 15 minute repair, not worth a trip back to the dealer.
The other was when I went to winterize it in Dec 2006, I could not get the pink antifreeze to flow into the freshwater tank. A peek under the kitchen sink revealed that the fill hose was mis-routed uphill. After removing a couple of kitchen drawers, I was able to access the hose and re-route it. 15 minutes and $0 dollars, still not worth a trip back.
Other than those items the thing has performed flawlessly, and you will discover that it is well insulated as the A/C and heater units do not cycle nearly as often as those in our previous 2 trailers.
I think you and I got the Chevy Malibu or Buick Century of trailers, a very reliable & nicely assembled little trailer for the price point. Lots of storage for the size too.
I also think you got the Yugo of neighbors.
