I've never been there, but how about the Nashville Jellystone?

Might help folks answer your question to tell us what YOU think a campground IS. Are you looking for a place to "camp" or are you looking for an RV Parking lot?

I really don't understand your thinking. Are you excited about the idea of camping? Thousands of people go camping every year, maybe millions and have no issues.

You might be surprised to hear this, but I have had more problems with children in campgrounds than from people who are consuming alcohol. Nothing major, just noise and running through our site.

If you don't mind being a bit north of Nashville, we frequent Cages Bend Campground (COE) just north of Hendersonville, TN. It's about a 10 minute drive from our home. We love it. We load the Chihuahua's and the Jet Ski up, and make a weekend of it. (Yes they (the Chihuahua's) Jet Ski with us and they have life vests - people stop us to take pictures of the dogs jet skiing) Many sites (if not most) are right on the lake.

If your looking for a good place around Nashville, try Montgomery Bell State Park. Great Hiking, Fishing, and the facilities are nice.

I second Montgomery Bell State Park. It is 25-30 miles west of Nashville, may be too far out far you but a very nice park.

Nashville Jellystone is shady and has a good playground. It is located about a mile from Opryland.
