Man I didn't want to hear that. I have never met the man, but with his gentle tutoring me, as a new member several years ago. I felt I knew him personally. God bless, to him and his family.

OMG, I can't believe it! I feel like I've lost a good friend. I don't know how many of the moderators take the time to really get to know the different posters and "where we are coming from," but Dick definitely did. I don't know if he was ill or if this was a sudden passing, but it is a reminder for all of us that life is truly precious and short. I will miss him very much.

Dick was a true, genuine, caring person - and a friend to so many of us. He will be missed, but he will not be forgotten.

Dick loved being a Moderator, and helping people. He will be greatly missed here on the forums.

Dick holding up his RV.Net shirt, just look at that grin on his face.

Dick spent many hours helping so many of us here, and he was also the creator/moderator of the group know as: Open Roads Singles He will truly be missed. We would be in Open Roads Singles chat, and he'd say "be right back, gotta move a post in RV.Net" He truly lived his life helping other RV'ers. He could talk you right thru any computer problem/question you might have.
I was fortunate to meet Dick in person when he flew from Oregon to Wilmington, SC in 2005 to attend the first ever Open Roads Single get to gether, and indeed he was a great person. It was after that event, that he finally got motivated, got his MH road ready and actually started to live the lifestyle of his name "RVSnowbird" He will truly be missed, he touched so many of our lives.

Oh my. Very sad news. Like many others here, I never met Dick but had many written dialogues with him. His gentle and even way will be greatly missed.

I can only hope he's visiting Rainbow Bridge and saying hullo to all our dearly departed furries.
