I have 14,000 mi on my 40' HR Endeavor, and have not been really happy with the way I had to work to keep it in the lanes. Not bad ,but adjusting the steering wheel left and right and causing some tail wag. Some have posted to check the alignment before doing any other modifications. I'm here to agree with this 100%. I finally had the front end checked, and the only problem they found was it needed the tow end adjusted. It was minor and the shop mgr said it might help. Well on the way home in the first 20 miles I thought I felt a difference. Now I have driven 1500 miles and what a difference, no white knuckle driving. These diesel pushers drive good without any modifications. I know now check your alignment at the first sign of handling problems, especially on a new rig.
Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for posting that. Resolution to issues are too rarely posted yet service to help many. Also glad to hear you are so pleased with your Rig.

What are your axle weights and what kind of air pressure are you running?

I had a vibration in the steering from the day I picked it up.
Front end alignment didn't help.
Balance and rotate tires didn't help
Replaced steering box didn't help
Replaced tilt steering didn't help.

Took it to a Goodyear truck tire dealer.

Bent rt front wheel. Problem solved.

In the shop 23 days

I have heard setting the tow-in tighter than stock makes them drive better eg more tow in. Wears the tires a little faster but who ever wears out tires anyway?

It's "toe in"....not "tow end" or "tow in" Not trying to be a jerk, I just prefer people use the correct terms.

Now just install a safety steer and you will drive it with 1 finger

I got the same rig you do!

What's a safety steer?
IMHO it's a expensive shock absorber that goes on the drag link between the front tires to make it harder to over steer your rig. Then there are those that say it will help in a blow out by keeping the steering wheel from being ripped from your hands....maybe before power steering. As you might guess I think they are a waste of money, but we all spend our money in different foolish ways. A MH is in this group and I sure love driving/using it.

I have to agree with this 100% and that is with experience not just a follower. Our last (2003)DP had a bad steering problem and the safe steer was a recommended cure, so $600 later, I had the cure installed. NOT one bit of a help and in fact it created it's own problems, and spent a day at a truck tire service center, 200 miles down the road, trying to get the new problem fixed, all to no avail. Finally the mechanic at the tire shop said, let's start from scratch and off came the steer safe and on the alignment rack it went. He made some adjustments and said now go drive it and it drove like a dream. Thought I was in heaven, so back to the CG and hook up the toad for an early morning departure. Next day, guess what, all over the road, so back to the tire shop. The culprit turned out to be the toad was out of alignment with the tow bar hooked up and was pushing to the right, which was causing the MH to go left, which caused me to keep hard right cranked in to keep the MH straight. The Steer Safe just added to the problem by making it 10X harder to try and keep the steering wheel turned. Long story short, check everything including the toad, if you always tow one and don't wast money on any add on until you know what is wrong, or you may just complicate the problem.
