I just bought a 07 3924 and would like any input from an owner of one.
I've seen some negetive reports on tires and rubber roofs but I would like feedback good or bad on any problems I might encounter. Thanks for your reply's

Raptor roofs have not been huge problems that I've read about, though they are still pretty new in the grand scheme of things. Tires on another story. A search here with the words "tire raptor" will give you a lot of reading to do. The tire problem isn't just a Raptor problem though, its industry wide.

Congrats on the purchase. We have an 06 Raptor, and have had no problems at all with the roof. Some changes that we have made along the way are:
Changed out all tires to E grade.
Changed all Axles from 5000lb to 7000lb axles
Added Disc Brakes instead of the Electric ones... this has by far been our best mod

Would this be a good unit to haul a Jeep in? It sounds like the tires these units come with are made with a bee wax compound and should be changed out, I understand that one. Are the axles only rated to 5000 lbs?
Thanks for the help as I am not very familiar with this unit or Raptors at all.

I don't think you have the payload capacity to haul a Jeep. Check your CCC and compare to the weight of the Jeep.

The tires they come with are garbage. I lost all six (tread delamination) with fewer than 1000 miles on the trailer. Replaced 'em with E-rated radials for now (15") but will be going to 16" Michelin XPS Ribs in the near future.
The Raptor comes with a big sticker in the garage that says 'load capacity cannot exceed 2000 lbs'. I peeled it off because it was ugly, but I did the math and can explain why. It's mostly due to the lame tires. If you go over 2000 lbs in the garage, you will overload the rear axle of the trailer.
So... given that the STOCK tires are rated at 2640 lbs each and you can go 2000 lbs with them, if you upgrade to better tires, you should be able to add more weight back there. The tires I went to are good for 2880 each, or 240 lbs more per tire. So I could safely go to around 2500 lbs in the garage.
When I upgrade to those 16" Michelins, they're good for 3042 lbs, or about 800 lbs more than stock.
