Planning a trip to see my wife's extended family who live near Round Lake. Have a 5 yr old, and 1.5 year old boys. Looking for good family campgrounds within 30mi or so. Can be state campgrounds or more full service type places with a pool. Would prefer full hookups since we'll be there a week, but not required. Would be a good excuse to buy a generator right???

I looked Hayes park, but man it is already booked out for the week in June we're looking at, though it is open for 5 of the days we'd need.

Any ideas are welcome. Coming in from Iowa.

Thanks in advance!

You don't want Hayes State Park!! Down in Tecumseh you have Indian Creek Camp with it all 888-412-2122. Tipton is Ja Do Campground W & E 517-431-2111. Brooklyn you have Greenbriar 517-592-6952 and Irish Hills 517-592-6751 both W & E. You also have 2 camp grounds up at Grass Lake one is quite large but I don't have the numbers for them.

I'll second MI Director as to you not wanting Hayes State Park...stayed there twice (once during holiday, once during non-holiday) and just didn't like the park...

What about Sequoia Camping in Adrian or Irish Hills in Cement City. Any one stayed in one of these places and have opinions one way or the other?

I know this is an old post, but why did you not like the park? We were thinking about going there since it is so close to wamplers lake.

Thanks
