Recently I ordered a cd set for Trailer Life Directory, only to receive it and learn that it is not Mac compatible. I have read also that the Woodall cd does does not work on a mac os.
Are there any rv travel cd directories out there that are compatible with a Mac OS?

You'll probably need to run it under Apples Boot Camp or with the Parallels Desktop. There really isn't any thing like that yet for the Mac, same goes for GPS too.

Thanks for your reply. I just bought a Macbook Pro thinking it would be great for traveling, because of the built in webcam to keep in touch with my family. I am finding out there are a few cons with the Mac OS, although I am trying to resolve them before we leave in April for our trip. I was told there was a great trip planning guide on the cd set, but now it looks like the large book will have to suffice until I find a fix.

Passport America won't work either. Personally I don't worry about it. I leave point A and when I get to point B, I'm there. It's less complicated that way.

Parallels is really easy to use. Once it is setup correctly you can use "Coherence Mode" and it runs transparently in the background. Windows programs can have their own dock icons, and you can switch between Windows and Mac programs seamlessly. Along with some programming tools I use Quicken 2008 on Parallels.

RayNJudy - I have been looking at a Mac myself. I think the Parallels is the way to go. Though if I use it while in route I will probably use boot camp to run the GPS system.

I have a Mac OS X 10.5 and the new TL CD also does not work. They sent me another which also did not work. I called again and left a message but they did not reply.
The CD is designed to work on a Mac with OS X so I would keep calling and see that they rectify the problem. When I install it it says the data files were not installed. When you look in the appropriate folders I can find no data installed. Either they left them off the CD or they have a problem with their installer.
Anyway my opinion is that they need to fix it.

Forest Grump, are we talking the same thing? Is it the "2008 Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator 2 CD-Set"? If so the website says "Not Macintosh compatible"
