I am going to have Equa-Flex installed on my 5th wheel Has anyone out there did this themselves. What I need to know is the best way to jack up the rv to get both wheels off the ground at the same time. I was thinking of using 2 jack on the frame is the best way.

What I did was to place a jack under each axle at the spring shackles and lift the till the wheels were about an inch or 2 off the ground then place jack stands under the frame right next to the spring mounts then remove the wheels and lower the axles and install the Equa-Flex, then reverse the process and enjoy the better ride.

What exactly does the Equaflex gain you? Just a smoother ride or does it improve some other aspect of the suspension?

Takes out alot of the jolts and vibrations from transmitting into the camper. Deosn't do a whole lot for the truck ride, just smooths out the impact on the trailer. Not much inside my Silverback moves around even on rough roads.

You almost forget the trailer is back there, it takes out all the bumps and jolts from the trailer. When I cross a bump or expansion joint I don't even feel the trailer cross it. Well worth the work and money to install.

I called trailair directly from the phone # on their web site. Mine should be arriving this friday. get the wet bolt kit as well. comes with brass bushings and a grease fitting on the new bolts. Cant wait!

I hope my question is answered when I read the instructions that come with it.
Apparently, its important to keep the leaf springs set the same height. If it lowers and raises the trailer, you would need a longer or shorter shackle??, not sure I understand. I will follow up when my parts come in and compare to my fiver

I got mine here. I didn't notice any difference in the ride of the truck or trailer but my trailer already had shocks. I think there may be a difference on trailers without shocks.

I have heard that from several people who already have shocks. I have a Forest River Sandpiper that didnt come with shocks or shock mounts for that matter. I am choosing the Equa-Flex option because its cheaper upgrade than the shocks and mounts.

I will be sure to follow up with my results after the Equa-Flex are installed
