It's on his backside, he had anal gland surgery. Unfortunately the bitter apple isn't working either. I think for now I'm going to take one of my grandson's diapers and put it on him. He's dripping butt goo all over the place anyway. A diaper should help to protect the wound and stop him from licking.

Last year when my dog's belly was completely taken over by mosquito bites in the woods, I put tea tree oil on there. It smelt so bad that he wouldn't stick his nose near it. May worth a try.

We bought children's garage sale Tshirts for our dog to wear. It covered the area that she would have licked.
