Just added the Firestone Ride Rites on my 2008 F350. Installation was a breeze. I bought both the Ride Rites and Compressor Kit from Brad at AAA Spring in West Valley, Ut. They treated me really good. BTW, installation was a breeze...about 1.5 hours total for the Ride Rites. I'm still trying to pick out where I want to mount the gauge in the cap. Good Luck to you.

Firestone Ride Rite are the best. Also what gimmyk3 said. Get the Dual Command system. I regret being cheap and not getting the on-board system.

Just out of curiosity..........Is there anything in particular that make the Ride Rite "the best"? Or is that the brand that you have?

Have you ever heard of the magic 8 ball? I asked it three times in a row if Firestone Ride Rites were the best and it said yes all three times. Pick one up at your local Walmart and give it a try. I think you will get the same results.

I had the Air Lift on my old truck and have the Firestones on my new one. I liked the Firestones better because of the,"no drilling installation." Air Lift might have this now too, but they didn't when I bought them.

I went with the Air Lift SureSet digital air compressor controller for my Firestone Ride-Rites. When a manual says that the typical installation is an hour and a half they don't mention that that is for a person who installs these for a living. It took me about a total of 7 and a 1/2 hours over two days. The hardest part was mounting the compressor and manifold. An Excursion is a big vehicle but the mounting options underneath are extremely limited. I settled on mounting behind the front drivers wheel well. It is fairly well protected from the elements, about as well as can be under a vehicle, but I'll look at adding more protection at the bottom. Fortunately there was already a hole through the firewall so that made running the wiring harness easy. I could have used more air hose. They supply 20' but if I routed the line where I wanted I'd have fallen about 3' short. Does anyone know if the air line be purchased at retail stores? I've played with the SureSet some and so far it exceeds my expectations. I like the fact that I can set the pressure and the SureSet maintains it automatically and adjusting is easy. I found the best price online at Summit Racing. The SureSet has been discontinued for the new SmartAir but looking at the two I think the SureSet is the better controller.
