We are booked for 9 days this summer. Booked there because it was recommended by our friends. Hope it is as good as they claim. Will keep my eye on this post too!

See you on the road!

Joe, we stayed ther once about 6 years ago at the bottom of the park closer to the indoor pool. It was a very nice and clean park we like going to Lake George Escape better. The park just seemed friendlier.

I'd agree..LGRV...while many of the amenities are new and the park is clean they aren't exactly known for being overly friendly. Sort of indifferent I guess. No scheduled day time activities, that sort of thing. They have an ideal location if you want to be within close proximity of the interstate and the outlet shopping area. Also they have a trolley to the outlets.(which you will need the traffic is awful) There was an area called "the pines" a number of years ago..and naturally it was quite shaded. Located near to the baseball field. Now..they've cleared that area out(as they have a good portion of the upper campground)..and I was SHOCKED at what it looked like last season. Seems they are "upgrading"(that's their word for it) the sites..pulling out alot of the natural habitat and replacing with shubery and some wierd sandy stuff on the sites instead of gravel. I don't know what that's about.

I'd agree that Escape is friendlier though a bit further from the Lake George area. They have a sister resort Alpine Lake RV Resort..located between Lake George and Saratoga...another option to consider.

We have stayed at both and have no complaints about either. I would say the sites are similar but Lake George Escape's is in a less developed area with nicer scenery. That also makes it less convenient to the local amenities.

Lake George RV has regularly scheduled entertainment in the evenings which was fun.

Either one is good and your better than average campground.
