Am parked on Padre Island. Noticed a water leak . Water is leaking down inside the basement directly beneath the kitchen sink. Also have some water on cabin floor running along the front of the cabinet baseboard. No water directly under the sink. No leak at the drain traps. However the leak starts when water is run through the kitchen sink faucet. Quit using the faucet and no leak.
It unit is a 41' 2004 Dutch Star Model 4025.
Any ideas ?

I think you self diagnosed the problem. Check the cold line under the sink, check the connections at the faucet. If not their, check the line back to the city water connection. Also if its on a slide check the fittings. Good Luck Chuck.

Aye, check all the connections under the sink. They tend to rattle loose over time if not tightened every so often. Good luck finding it.

Ours has a finger thin water filter mounted on the side of the cabinets. If you did not know it was there you would not see it. There are fittings to by pass this. Ours has come loose and leaked before. As others have said tighten all fittings be carful not to over tighten Larry

obviously, leak must be "after" the shutoff point for that tap. that limits, but confuses the situation IMHO.

My water pump is beneath the cabinet under the sink. I have a fitting on one of the lines by the pump that leaks when pressure goes up to around 80-90 lbs. It wets the floor under the cabinet and along the floor outside the cabinet. I have added a very good whole house regulator to keep the pressure at 40 lbs, and that stopped the leaking completely.
Although your water pump may not be under the sink, there are lines running below the cabinet to supply the sink. One of them is likely leaking, probably one of the fitting clamps.

good grief, I didn't know that the systems would hold up to 80-90 lbs.
you certainly needed a pressure regulator.

Jim,
HOW did you "stop using the fawcet?" Did you just stop turning it on at the sink or did you find a water shut-off valve back inside somewhere and kill it there?
If the former, and as you have described the situation, it seems likely that the fawcet mechanism isself is leaking somewhere when the valve is turned to on.
You might tell us what kind of fixture the fawcet is - ie. single lever type or two-descrete-knob type and what the spout looks like.
What makes me ask, is that you say it only leaks when running water. That would eliminate leaks in the lines all the way up to the sink tap.
