Tried to get a little gas from the fuel station tonight and when I turned on the switch heard a click as I moved from on to off and the motor did not start? Always worked fine before....Sounds like the pump is stuck? Anyone had theirs apart? Any suggestions. Thanks Bill

Ours did not work on the first trip out.. something to do with a gear in the pump motor that swells... ask your dealership about it. They fixed ours while we waited..

It's a pretty common problem on '05/'06 Raptors, and a fairly quick fix, but it does require a couple new parts. As coribdx says has to do with the pump gears not meshing properly which overloads the motor and causes shut down. I think they put gears and a shim in ours.

By the way, nice flames on the TV!

wild bill - this was pretty common a year or two ago, if you use the advanced search and go back over 12 months ago you may find some older posts about this too.

As some have said it is due to the gears swelling. I did this fix to my raptor in a few hours. Take your pump out and take off the back plate where the gears are and grind down the side of the gears on a belt sander(only for a second)on both sides. the issue is when they swell the cover kept it from turning so grinding it just a hair frees it up. My trailer is still under warr. but it was going to be a 4 week wait just to do a 2 hour job.
