I can't get my signature to display at all. I feel like such a dork!

JasonD,
I have been trying to post a picture for well over a week, and just today got it to accept it. Then I saw the Red X, and thought I had made a mistake. According to PULSAR, we have made no mistakes, just takes time, I sure hope so. Keep me posting as any news is good news.

I was also trying to add the USA map. Just got the red x. I tried to "do over" but the submit changes button will not "Click". I guess I will try again tomorrow.

Lynn,

Did you read this response I made to JasonD earlier in the thread?

This forum is a total disaster. I have been using the internet forums since 1994 and this is the worst by far.

Just add me to the list. Tried adding a photo of our new coach, but get a bright shinny red X.

(Edit - reloaded the pic this morning, 3-21-08, it's now working. ???)

It has to be related to the storage location that the files get uploaded to. Something changed and if this system is load balanced the server that is hosting the actual sig pics might not even be talking to the web server itself. I'm sure that server code and uploaded files are in two completely different places.

Does that explain why pictures in some signatures show and some do not?

It depends on if there is a cluster of web servers. Even if there is two, if they are not updating (coldfusion caching) then it won't get recognized on a remote server until that coldfusion instance restarts. It is meant to improve performance but sometimes it is a PITA.
