I have not been on this thread for some time now but I just had to come back to see what's happening to the orders when I got this email from them today:
Our local law enforcement is investigating a possible credit card scheme that is looking for any kind of information that can help them investigate a credit card fraud to our company. We are looking for any email that may have circulated that has given people a way to receive credits to their card for twice the amount of charges that was applied by their cards from SAF-TTE, LLC. The customers asked us to credit their account, and asked their credit card company for a chargeback in the same amount that was to be applied to their credit cards. During March and April we had over 80 customers that were given a double credit to their credit cards due to these practices. What the local law enforcement is looking for is for any kind of email or correspondance that took place to instruct people of a way to possibly get free money from SAF-TTE, Corp. Each instance of this practice is being investigated, and will be handed over to our local law enforcement as credit card fraud. But we really need to know if it was any one persons or a couple peoples idea on how to beat the system. All email that can be forwarded to us in this case would be kept confidental, and greatly appreciated. Thank You From Everyone At SAF-TTE, LLC.
I see they are not filling orders again..and having problems with product. Now they are using the excuse of a double credit and credit card fraud to let everyone know there are problems...Boy am I glad I went with a different company. I think if there were double credits given I would start looking at their books and practices. I feel for all of you that are still hooked into this. They don't even know how to use spell check on the computer.
Oh one other thing, deal directly with Law Enforcement if you do have information not the company. I already replied to the email with request for the investigator's name and number. I would love to talk with them.

Randy if that is the case and the average order was for $400 (assuming they were TPMS orders) they got ripped for $32,000 if my math is correct. I have found them nice to work with and do appreciate what they have done for the safety of my family by offering a TPMS that works well for us at a fraction of the price of other systems. I hear the version that will work better for tow dolly users is out or about to be out and that had cause some product delays but I thought they we shipping again. Our system has been installed and working for a few months now and we are please and I have showed it to a lot of others that tow. We sure did not know the hot PSI went up so much.
Gale, that is wonderful that you are happy with their product. But in my dealings with them I found them not to be totally truthful, in waiting for my order to be handled. I attempted to have my credit card refunded but when I talked with them they were unable to do this. Tina said it would not go through. I talked to my bank when I went to dispute the charges because of my 60 day window to dispute was two days away and they said that there should not be any reason they could not reverse the charge. Now remember they had my money for almost 60 days. I got a check from them for the amount it cashed and I went away. But now they claim that there were double refunds and think that there was a credit card fraud involved....come on. I will pass along all the information I have to Law Enforcement. Since being retired Law Enforcement myself.

I two have gone through the frustrations with them, and was one of the original 1300 plus early orders that was delayed, charged, eventually cancelled, credited and then re-ordered, and disputed charges with CC to stop the order charge/no delivery, then eventually got the credit from Saf-tee corp, reversed the credit from my CC company and paid for the order (again) and finally got the order
What a hassle! I feel their pain but don't think anyone (intentially de-frauded them?)
As reported earlier, In the time frame of my travels, and "NEED" I ordered a Doran Pressure pro system and have now "both" systems. I decided to keep both (large expense) but will install the Saf-tee system in my Truck/trailer combination and have a good comparison of operation/accuracy.
I wish the best for Mike and his company and hope the system(s) prove as reliable as the Pressure Pro has so far.
I too, received a credit from my credit card company and then also received the product from Saf-Tee. Only a single credit, not a double credit except for the product itself. I did not see or receive any emails concerning a double credit, one from the credit card plus a check. From my dealings with Saf-Tee, I feel they were trying to do the best they can under the circumstances. (Dealing with China made products and Far-East shipping) I also was one of the early ones to order and had my card charged early and suffered the pangs of frustration, but eventually everything was ironed out to actually more than satisfaction.
The product works well, the sensors are small and I even have two extra at no additional cost.
Give them a chance and I feel that everything will work out to everyone's eventual satisfaction. Perhaps not entirely, due to some "I want it now" feelings, but eventually those too, will receive their products.
Well, I ordered a 10 wheel system from them today. They said that they expected a shipment in next Wednesday and they would ship out very quickly. I asked what if any improvements were made to the system. DJ said that they added more threads to the sensors.
I also asked him if they check rv.net to see what people are saying about them and he said they do from time to time.
I checked my credit card account and it had not been charged yet. I know I will have to wait for the delivery.

I was told the very same story on 6/17/08 page 24. Thirty days late all I have is a charge on my CC! I sent several emails and none have been answered. Several calls and the run around again. I'll give them one more week and then I'll cancel with my CC company (Bank of America).
If you order it, you should already know that you're going to have to wait for it. Supply can't keep up with demand. I also was frustrated, and worried that I had been had, but then it showed up at my door. When I ordered the mounting bracket it came right away. I have now ordered the hard wire kit and am waiting for it.
I think these folks are honest, just can't get the product fast enough. I was at a Segway dealer over the weekend and they have the same problem and they are frantically trying to mollify their customers until they can get more product. Segway, (you know those two wheel thingies that you ride).
I have made a trip with my Saft-e unit now, and I love it. I watched the tire temps go up and then stabilize as well as the pressure. I also saw many other types of units this week and I like this one the best.
We were at the FMCA Rally in St. Paul this weekend where there were a lot of venders trying to sell different kinds of units.
