I keep reading about the problems with Saf-tee and they are all accurate. However there is another technical problem that those of you that have dual wheels may consider. I went out for the first time this past week and lost a sensor on my inside left rear wheel. The system worked great, low pressure alarm warned me of the problem. Here is where the problem lies. There is a spring retainer that holds the inside wheel valve stem extension that failed. The spring retainer slipped off of the outside wheel rim and flopped around until it broke off at the inside wheel valve stem. Great that I did not loose pressure on the inside wheel. I think the added weight of the sensor slinging around without support caused the break. My solution is to make rigid aluminum brackets to fastens the extension to the outer wheel rim. Any thoughts or suggestions. Have any of you had this problem or considered it.

Beyond this I am satisfied with this company. They are shipping the lost sensor to me when available.

Folks, I have kept this thread open to facilitate folks being able to share and gain insight relative to installation and in use performance. keeping the thread open also enable folks to keep track on the ongoing issues relative to order fulfillment or refunds.

In order for this thread to remain open the posts will need to stay on topic...

Just did another round of deletes to keep this thread on track...

If you have experience you want to share either with the ordering, receiving, installation, in use experience, it would be helpful to hear from you...

Speculations, hypothesizing are not helpful and will be removed...

I'm not sure which post if off topic. It might help if the Mod's were more explicit about what is not acceptable.

When a large truck supplier mounted new tires on my unit they put little stub valve stems on the inside duals which I could not reach without removing the outside wheel. I was able to go to "Car Quest" and pick up some flex valve stem extenders that also have a clamp that fastens securely to the hole in the outside dual.

Not only can I reach them now, they are also immovable!!

I'm going to wait until Tuesday to call back if I don't see a credit on my CC. I cancelled yesterday. As of today, my order is still showing a 'processing' (which it has for 6 weeks).

Well, I just tried to go to their web site (Sun. 8/3) and it comes back as "cannot find server" All other sites work just fine. I wonder if they shut down the web page or what??

And a significant increase in price.
After the credit is applied to my CC, I think I will just go for the RV360 system. These people have had over 6 months to get their act together and just can't seem to get it done. Its sad, because the product has potential...

It appears that SAF-TTE is now selling through Roll Right Now LLC (and the price has gone up). Interesting though; they have three different units including a hand held reader.

I just don't understand how after reading all this in this thread there are some still ordering through them. I am going to bite my lip and not type what I really think. And stay away from hypothetical theories which won't be allowed.
