I called SAF-TTE today (8-18-08). Their phone states no one is available to take the call and it is sent to the message box and then it states that the message box is full.

Is anyone able to make contact with them or has recently received a product from them?

Not a thing from them since a call in early July. I have sent an email to the Rocky Ford BBB asking if they are still open. Waiting for an answer. If I get one I will pass on the answer.

I got the same answer on the phone for over a week now but today via USPS I got a replacement 12V cord from them, so I guess they are still around.

It appears that SAF-TTE is now selling through Roll Right Now LLC (and the price has gone up). Interesting though; they have three different units including a hand held reader."

that was my reference point on the other company.

Nothing new here...

The original web site http://www.truckerspartstore.com/ has been resurrected...The new web site http://www.rollrightnow.com/ is still there.... sans the reference to SAF-TTE... Bizarre is the best I can come up with.

The registrant of record is the same for both web sites... The contact telephone number is the same for both sites...

Different prices on the two sites.

One site claims to have inventory but indicate 2 to 4 weeks shipping.

There is something very wrong here...

We have been at this issue for some time... The product looks good and the price looks good..... But... The track record is an extensive record of reported broken commitments and failure to ship product. Then there is the miserable experience many have posted in terms of communication and obtaining a refund.

Next we have the new web site and the disappearance of the original... Now the original is back but showing lower prices than the other one..... I have not been interested or focused on price but my sense is that the price keeps getting lower...Can any one verify?

As I mentioned the product looks good.. but so do several others. The price is low in comparison to others but order fulfillment has been consistently unacceptable based on what has been reported on this thread.

I would not buy from these folks at this time.. If I had an order in place I would cancel... And insure a refund through my credit card company

I must say that we seem to have a very good Moderator in Johnny T. He seems to be on top of this problem. For those of you that have not purchased as of now I really think I would wait. I have mine and need 2 more sensors because of faulty threads. I am a retired machinist with a gread deal of experience in threaded objects. It take an average of 1-1/2 times the diameter of threads to hold the object fully. I feel the threaded portion should be longer. Of course this is only my opinion. I still have not heard from the BBB in CO. I do hope that Saf-TTe will get their act together and this product corrected because for the money it's way out front.
