Has anyone ever stayed at this CG? If so what are your thoughts about it?

Haven't stayed in that CG but the 3 Yogi Bears I have been to were all the same, Very crowded very small sites and seemed not to care much about what goes on throughout the Parks once they've got you packed into your site.
Maybe thats why they are called Parks!
Just my thoughts but if it says Yogi Bear or Jellystone we aren't interested!
Why not just go a bit farther and stay around Lancaster? Lots of nice Campgrounds in that area. And they aren't called Parks.
Happy Camping!!!

Thank you for your input Kirk37r. I've read some reviews on the Jellystone parks and they were not very good. Actually I tried getting into Old Mill Stream for the week that we can go and they are booked. We've stayed at Country Haven and did not care for it so we will not be going back to it. I'm going to call Hershey Highmeadow and see if we can't get into that one. If not I may try Spring Gulch. I've heard some good things about that campground.
Happy camping to you all as well!!

Spring Gulch is A real nice CG, We just made res for Roamers Retreat Campground for June. We too could not get res for old Mill stream when we wanted But we travel with other units so we always look for spots together.
PM me if you have any other ?

I've never stayed at this Yogi campground, but we've stayed at 2 others. One being Shangri-la & the other is now Splash Mountain. We've always enjoyed both. We do have reservations for this particular one the first weekend of June. I do know that the two gentlemen i spoke with were VERY nice & helpful. The rest remains to be seen. The boys are looking forward to their new water park. They were pouring the concrete for the pool the other week when i called.

I agree with Spring Gulch too. Very nice campground as well.

Over the past 4 years we have been going to this campground on a regular basis since it is very close to home and was a very nice campground even though we did not have young children. However, over the past 2 years we have noticed that the prices have increased to cover cable TV and the new store. This year they are putting in a water slide and during the prime season the weekend rates will be $91.00 a night for full hook up(30 amp)which is too costly for us so we will not be returning for 2008. At the Luray, Va Jellystone you pay for the water-park separately and they issue a wrist band. Quarryville is assuming that everyone will take advantage of the water-park so you are forced to pay for the water-park. My wife and I do not care to use the water-park so this is a waste of money. It is a ashame since this was a good park to do weekend trips. We have found ELK Neck State Park at $35.00 a night(full hook up) is better for 2 old folks.

I agree with "buskirk", their prices are just way too high for my liking. We used to make this park an annual stop but those prices are just too much. I would much rather pay separately for the use of the water park. The way they set their pricing you pay for the park with your site and if the weather isn't suitable for swimming then that's too bad and you just handed them $40+ dollars a day for nothing. We will not be going back unless their pricing policy changes. I'll keep an eye on it because we do like this CG and it's close to home.

Ditto to Big Ray. While it has a great store - one of the best I've seen, and the new pool complex is great for kids & adults alike, not only is the price too high but the owners and most of the staff are not very nice. We just got back from a trip & spent 6 nights there. Staff is very rude, unfriendly and the owner was downright arrogant. Not one knows how to greet a customer or thank them and the staff that greets you and takes you to your site are not friendly at all and can make you feel like an imposition at their campground. The owner picked a fight with my wife for not having her wristband on - they use wristbands to identify campers that can use the pool area. They make the rules and chenge them to suit them when they wnat - they also make exceptions to some but enforce with others. Pool rules prohibit any food in the pool area however the owner had friends there that had a large cookout on the deck with hot food brought over from a barb-q! I would never stay here again and think the Yogi Bear franchise should investigate this park and consider revoking thier right to use the Jellystone name!!! It is a shame because the sites, pool, game room and store were very nice.
