My Duramax is a 4X4 & it is hard to see what is behind me when I back up. I saw the wireless back up camera at Walmart for $98. Has anyone installed this camera & how good is it? The screen for the monitor is tiny. I guess I could mount it to my sun visor to get it closer for viewing. Any feedback you can give me would be helpful. I am also interested in a system that I could hook up 2 cameras to. One would be for backing up when I am using the truck alone & 1 for the back of the fiver. If anyone has installed an inexpensive system please give me your feedback.
Many folks have posted in the past that they are no good - the distance from the truck cab to the back of the fiver is further than it can transmit. One poster said it worked, but the majority went and got theit money back, if memory serves me right!

You may want to consider a wired camera setup for the 5er. The wireless units don't have very good range (from what I've read here). RVCams.com has packages that can handle 2 or 3 cameras. There's the Swift Hitch magnet mount wireless system and several others out there on the market. I might get the tailgate bezel camera for my truck. You can do a search on eBay for "GM Tailgate camera" to check it out.

It will work fine on the truck only but when I installed one on the back of my fiver, it was just too far. I called the factory and they said the unit was rated to 17 feet. I can't imagine a fiver that would work on.

Did you use the Walmart camera on your truck without the fiver & was the picture large enough to help you when you backed up?
