....@ Km 78, north of Mazatlan. Punta San Miguel, the other RV park in Celistino Gasca is not full. While both Villa Celeste and Celestino RV Park are full this park has mucho space. In fact the sites are huge and I expect that this will be a full park next winter. Right now as it has only been opened for three months there is a huge amount of empty space. Several large class A rigs have come in, toads attached, done a U-turn and parked parallel to the hook ups. Perfect one night stay as it is only minutes off the main road. Beautiful beach to walk and watch the sunset after a long drive. I would say that reservations are not required.

Yes, it's a great stop!

Lots of space for larger rigs, and Ramon the manager is very accommodating. We looked at the other campgrounds in Celestino but we preferred to stay at Punta San Miguel. Villa Celeste is tight, and we didn't like the closed and locked gate, looks like a jail from the outside.

I think that this place will be the destination of choice in the future.

Yes that is going to be a great park but I would never recommend any park in that area for an overnite stay. The road in is very bad. Well worth it for an extended stay but the toll booths or a Pemex are much better for a late one nighter.

We drove through and found it quite nice. I agree with Moisheh about the road in. I would not want to make it a one-night stop.

In all fairness to Villa Celeste, the gate is kept locked out of necessity. They had locals helping themselves to the facilities when they first opened, as they are the closest to the town. However, they give you a key while you are there, and someone is always available to open up when you first arrive. It is a delightful park with terrific owners.

I do agree that the road in is not perfect, many dips, pot holes and washboard effect but many RVers will not stay at toll booth or Pemex ovenite. For them this is a good stop, easier than navigating Mazatlan. In fact this past week we have had 3 to 5 overniters on a regular basis. Most are coming from Puerto Vallara or Teacapan and get here in time for an afternoon walk on the beach and sunset. Then they move on to Mr Moro's or Huatabampito or San Carlos.

Don,t forget there are two entrances, one at km 78 and km 75 which is the shorter way to San miguel & Celestino RV Resort. apron off road has all been paved. and no wash boards, no arroyos,

only problem north bound you need to go up to km 78 and go over the overpass and get back on the south bound lanes then exit at km 75.

latest rates at Celestino RV Resort 150 pesos night
San miguel 22 USD and can only dump if you stay two nights . Villa Celeste 22 USD plus

Not sure where you are getting your information. The price at Punta San Miguel is for full hookups which includes dumping. I am staying here and people do come in overnite and dump, etc. As to the prices at Celestino, 150 pesos per night is correct ,plus the add on for electricity per nite. Our friends who have stayed there feel that the 3.00 or 4.00 USD add on per nite is a bit much.

There is lots of room for everyone here in Celestino Gasca. You simply have to chose from small, awning to awning sites or those with more space. Regardless it is a great place to enjoy nature.

Yes, to confirm, Punta San Miguel is 220 pesos per night with full services (not $22 US), Ramon lowered his rates from $25 US which he was charging back in December.

I'm not sure about the km. 75 exit, I would check with only the TV or dingy before trying it with a full RV.

Big C ,

What's wrong with paying for the hydro/power that you consume. There should be meters at all parks.

I wonder why the park has been full all winter if the hydro/power is so expensive there.
