I have a 01 Jayco 23B. I'm planning on replaceing the bathroom fan with a Shurflo Comfort Air. C.W.says I need to use the Maxx-Air Fan Mate Deluxe.I don't want to spend a $100 on a cover if I don't need to,besides don't know if it will fit with the vent stack right next to it.Has anyone done this using the regular covers i.e. Ramble,MaxxAir. Any issues with noise, clearence, ventalation?

Thanks,Fuzzie

I bought the regular cover for the same reason you stated. It works fine and plenty of air flows through it.

I used a regular MaxxAir cover on our bath vent and it handles the fan's airflow fine. When you compare the area in the fan housing where the fan blades push the air to the area in the vent cover for that air to escape, the vent cover has as least as much if not more area. Save the money and use it to buy more beer for your first trip of the season

I went with the Aero-Flo cover as it has a smaller footprint behind the fan. It is/was also quite a bit cheaper, like $40 instead of the $100. It is rated for the high flow fans.
