I posted a thread last October titled "What's your rule". Left the MoHo, and when we returned, the thread had been closed and I had received a few PM's telling me to get @%$&*&^!!! and then some. Still can't believe that at almost $4.00 a gallon...... Oh well, close the windows and turn up the tunes! As always, to all, Safe Travels. Kevin & Alexis

Dealer said warm it up for 10-15 minutes in the morning, depending on how cold the night was. Attended a Cat factory seminar. They said 110 degrees temp, then you can move out. I tried that, the beast would not even budge. Didn't matter how much throttle I gave it. It's computer controlled you know. Has a mind of its own, thankfully. 125 degrees, it finally felt like moving......slowly. At first it would not even get out of the dimples in the grass from sitting overnight. It's embarrassing to have a big motorhome coach and not be able to make it move on demand.
So, I'll do what I need to do, however long it takes. I'll consider apologizing if your not rude. Otherwise, forget it. I RV to improve mental health and reduce stress. Don't need your attitude
Maybe you could sell your RV, buy a tent and go dry camping.. Yea, that's it...go dry camping.
By the way.... I don't want to idle any longer than I must. The cost of fuel, I am looking to be as efficient as possible and get the job done..
Mind if I copy this post and frame it to keep in my coach?...LOL I see like myself you get a bellyfull of the complainers also.
Right on guy...right on

Might I add the door slammers and noisy thunderstorms, or should we just "coast" into the last 50 feet of parking space? lol

I take exception to that statement. I have what I feel is a nice coach and one of my main concerns is being a good neighbor. You can't make generalities about something like this without offending someone and I'm offended.
LOL Well if someone has to be offended, I'd much rather it be you than me!

The way I see it is simple. The guy that idles his engine unnecessarily in a campground is a inconsiderate jerk.
I don't think I've ever been in a campground that I could get to so quickly off the highway that I needed to idle the engine to cool it down. Most of the time when we know we'll be on the road till late at night, we stop at Wally World instead of a campground largely to avoid waking everyone when we come rumbling in. But, there have been occasions to arrive late at night. It's simple. We arrive and shut it down immediately. Once we know exactly where we are going, we start up and park the coach quickly, shutting it down as soon as the maxi brakes are set. If we need to leave early (before 8am) we start the engine, release the brakes, and drive off slowly in less than a minute from starting the engine. If we need to connect the toad, we shut the engine off. If we needed to drop the coach before leveling, then we have to idle it a couple of minutes to build the air pressure back up. It takes 1-2 minutes to build up air pressure and we're in gear and rolling.
We do have the right to do our own thing UNTIL it impacts the rights of someone else. If you really believe that you have the right to idle your engine as much as you please and that the sound is lovely, then I'd suggest you spare the rest of us by staying at truck stops where you can listen to idling diesels to your heart's content.

Diesel sounds pretty good now eh?
Dont forget the toss game with the huge washers !
I love washers and drinkin beer, so you will see both if I'm in the CG. If they can run thier diesels, I can throw my washers. Lots of people worrying about what everyone else is doing.
