My roof mounted AC covers, Coleman off-white, have ever lengthening cracks on top where they are bolted down. Does anyone know what type of glue I can repair this with? Most glues wont stick to the plastic.
Later I plan to glue/screw thin plywood to reinforce the surface.
Breaking up is hard to undo.

First thing, drill a small hole at the very end of each crack to stop it from getting longer. I think those covers are ABS, and I don't know what kind of glue to use. Good luck!

You can get replacement covers for most AC units, and I know they are available for the Coleman. I was able to repair an older Coleman AC shroud by using fibreglass mesh and liquid resin which are available at Autozone. Cut the mesh to size and dip it into the resin and then apply it to the underside of the shroud and let dry. Strong repair and it will hold up a long time.

What kind of resin was it, polyester, polyvinyl, epoxy? I am trying to avoid paying he $110 for new ones. Thanks for the input.

Your shroud is deteriorating from sun exposure and will eventually fly off the A/C while you are driving down the road, which can be very dangerous as you can imagine. Do yourself and everyone driving on the roads a favor and replace it. Maxx Air makes a lifetime replacement shroud called the TuffMaxx available from Camping World and others I am sure.

We got a Maxx to replace our cracked and deteriorating Coleman cover. It has served well to date.

A piece of Enterna-bond tape placed on the underside might hold it together for a few more years.

I have a 1989 Itasca and the Coleman shroud was starting to crack. I pop riveted a sheet of aluminum inside to hold it together and it did OK for about 1 year then I felt it was best to replace it (didn't want it to go flying off & hitting anyone). PPL was the lowest price supplier at the time and you can see what their current prices are by clicking the PPL above.

You might also try an epoxy like JB Weld. That stuff generally bonds to plastic and hardens up pretty good.

Those AC covers will laugh at the drop of a hat.
