We stayed at Kaibab lake campground.....absolutely beautiful scenery, but no hookups at all.

Have fun!

We stayed twice at Railside RV Ranch. Great folks, good location, and good prices. FHU, and showers and park are sparkling clean! We would definitely recommend this park to anyone!

Look at Williams KOA. GC Railway is a paved lot, next to the train station. Someday the trees will grow, but for now there is no shade. Next to the train you will get lots of noise. Circle Pines KOA in Williams has lots of trees, it is just far enough off the freeway to keep the noise down, and the new owners have made many improvements, like releveling sites, and adding restrooms. We used to base at Grand Canyon KOA, but it was destroyed by fire last year. I don't know if the new owners have completed rebuilding yet. Happy Trails.

We've stayed at both the Circle Pines KOA and the GC railway ...different atmospheres, both nice. Circle Pines KOA is nicely wooded, backs up to FS property, indoor pool, cafe and family atmosphere. The GC Railway is more like a hotel to pull your rig into. Pavement, but nice large sites, kennel available, right at the depot for a train ride into the GC and access to the indoor pool that is across a street for the hotel and playground across the street.

The only campground I am familiar with is the Grand Canyon Railway campground and as mentioned it is a large asphalt campground with angled pull-throughs. It is a new campground and very nice and clean. They have a nice covered table area with multiple gas bar-b-ques that are very convenient and well maintained/cleaned. We were there the first week of April 2007 in a 40' DP and the sites were roomy and easy to get in and out of. The campground is within walking distance of the railroad and town with many little shops and cafes. I would stay there again. Mike.

We just got back from there and stayed at Railside RV Ranch for a couple of nights. It was a great place. Very clean, very friendly. If we ever get back that way again we will be staying at Railside.

We stayed at Railside RV Ranch about a year ago and liked it a lot. Located just outside of town with a nice atomosphere. Good base camp for day trips to the Grand Canyon.

We saw Grand Canyon Railway RV Park and while nice, it really is just a parking lot with hookups. However, if you plan to ride the train it is probably the best place to stay since they have package deals and the depot is right there.

We have stayed at the Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park and I don't think I would call paved roads and concrete pads a parking lot. It is a fairly new park so the trees and landscaping are still pretty small.

All of their amenities are 1st class and you can use the hotel swimming and fitness facilities. You are within walking distance to the city of Williams.

The even offer a Doggy Sitting Service.

Riding the train to the Grand Canyon is also a lot of fun. I recommend getting reservations in the last car...I think they call it the Parlor Car.

When we pass thru on the 40 we always stay at the Canyon Gateway RV Park. It is on the north side of the 40 at exit 163. Large pull-thrus full hook-ups and wi-fi. Our main reason is it is a Passport America so you save 50%.
